Fun fact: Nomak was soley created for that movie, because the studio couldn't use Morbius, who was teased in a deleted scene of the previous flick. Which would explain the "sympathetic" route taken for the character, since Morbius mostly focused his blood thirst on criminals or other vampires as well.

Didn't know about 40K vampires, I'm only familiar with the 5 bloodlines of Warhammer, it's kinda disappointing that they're included here instead of having their own vid, especially with all the special characters/founders of the bloodlines.

I love Warhammer 40k because there are literal demon hellspawn and a realm of chaos ruled over by evil gods, and that's not even the worst thing out there in the 40k universe.

Calistarius changed his name to Maphistian (not sure of the spelling) after he overcame the black rage and on thing that help with that is that he is a power librarian of his chapter which means he can channel the warp to pretty much use magic. There’s tons of lore on him and how it’s thought that he is the embodiment of the dark side of Sanguineous while the Sanguinor, anther character is the embodiment of the light side. It’s really cool stuff.

I like to believe these are the angels from the Bible. God in the old testament killed thousands and wasn't known for being kind and compassionate. This interpretation of scripture and Christianity is compelling to me because it forces the viewer to consider everything that's familiar with new context that doesn't contradict the traditional view but casts a dark shadow over it. Beth is a devout Christian and a firm believer and worshipper of the angel even after seeing it. If these are angels what is God like and does he deserve worshipping? If these are the fruits of religion is it good for humanity or is it a plague that preys on humanity? If violent actions like those of Beth can be justified by scripture can we really say it's a perfect book or the word of God?
