Awesome video! Mark and you had me laughing great stuff
modern gear is trash can't even move in it it's to tight the waste it so low i feel like paris hilton in the 90s, fuckin g4y ass trousers
I love Italian bikes. TM, Italian Husky, Beta, but everyone I know with a Beta has had reliability issues.
I like both of yo,,togetherperform . n
Are you going to put brembos on the husky Rich?
Have some better brakes going on 😁 you will see!
Here I am commenting 2 years later, lol. As an older guy who wants to improve off road ability on a larger enduro bike I am amazed at the amount of information you communicate. Clear, logical, simple (to understand) and organized from the ground up. You are by far the best teacher I have encountered, keep up the great work. I am on the 10 episode foundational videos now, just taking a break to absorb and reinforce.
On my T7, I spent 10 minutes practicing static balance from episode 1 and still can't get it, obviously doesnt work, I want my money back. Of course I'm being sarcastic, love the channel
Love the beta bought a 4:30 RR 23 dual sport the engine failed at the 15th Mark and they warranty the whole engine without even a head as an event their warranty is second to none they stand behind their product way better than anybody
Yet another awesome video! Watching James us mesmerizing. I think he looks better on the beta than his gas gas but I have a feeling he would make any bike look better.
My 2006 200XCW has been my favorite bike to date.
Nothing beats beta👍🏻🇬🇧😂
What are the best carburated 300cc 2-stroke hard enduro bikes of all time?
Good video sir, you are a professional, greetings from Spain..
I would like to see your thoughts on the SHERCO vs the beta….
Hard Enduro Bike Comparison! Beta Vs. Sherco Vs. GasGas Vs. KTM Vs. Husqvarna czcams.com/video/2apgNJQ2Qxk/video.html The Sherco hasn’t changed much since this test. The Beta has made major changes for the better keep that in mind. I hope Sherco makes some major changes this year and I’ll be testing.
Sounds like Rich is warming up to husky enough that he is willing to invest in some mods. 👍🍻
how about a 19 inch front rim tires?
Love my Xtrainer!
The Beta is starting to look like a good choice for the vertically challenged. Me and my (barely) 30” inseam would love a lower seat height. Is it worth it?
It looks like he’s steering with his head. Gotta try that. I’ve always sucked at wheelies, and I think it’s because I try to balance with my hips, and my head is tucked forward like the student.
This is the most informative understandable test ive ever seen.
Best video I've seen in a while
my bike has a 19inch front rim can i use this in front??
Been fighting the rear end on the ktm's for years. Linkage ratio is much different than any other bikes and that is not good
Rich, what is the equipment or app info you are using for your lap times, I would like to do the same thing, for myself to see if I am improving, and I'm sure others would want to know as well? Thank you you are an awesome teacher! I did ask this same question on another one of your video's.

I snagged a Klx300 recently and trying to get back into riding but mostly using it to commute. Anyway, oftentimes I find myself trying to balance at stop lights and I never realized that having the bars turned would make it easier! Can’t wait to leave work in about 15 minutes!
I find it difficult to sit in my cubicle at times but I think I could probably get my bike in here and practice balancing while I work…🤔
I think for ABSOLUTE Hard enduro....an argument can be made for the Beta. For literally anything else (Hare screambles, XC, GNCC, etc). KTM still has it.
I’m new here and I love your teaching technique. Not just seeing you fail but seeing HOW you fail and what you do to minimize damage to yourself and even your bike is really great. I always feel like people and kids these days don’t know how to crash! Knowing how to crash is one of the most important parts of sports like this. Sickrad!
You guys should do a X/Y cockpit comparison. The cockpit has a huge influence on how a bike feels. The Beta feels tight to me. The Husky feels a lot more like a modern mountain bike, which is ideal for riding gnar. @irc
All I ride is gnar. The beta seems better. You’d rather have a flickable controllable bike. Easier to pivot and put your feet down.
off topic from video title, but interesting to see the difference in technique at 5:28. Rich's body movement seems more active, without audio hard to say but seems like maybe Rich is using more body and less enginge compared to James ?
In the begining of the video, you commented on the TBI not being quite right. I have a 23 TX300, I have friends with 24 TE's and W's. All of which had a little richness from zero to 1/8 throttle. I installed a TSP, ERM with the hard enduro maps. What a difference! It definitely reves out farther, and has ZERO HICKUPS. You should start with TSP for the engine.
Glad to see someone do it on a four stroke the audio is helpful for 4 stroke riders
Anyone else have issues with the counter shaft seals on these betas? They always pi$$ing crank oil out.
I ride my chain a little loose for this reason. No leak.
@@stormxz600 I run my beta chain a full 1/4” looser than beta spec.
Best tutorial of the dirt bike
from this static balance i can stand both feet on the seat and keep balancing - it's very good drill. Try it when you feel extra comfortable in first part.
The geometry of the Beta just seems to fit a broader range of riders. I have a 34” inseam so I can ride anything but I feel more comfortable on my Betas.
Can not look at you anymore, your hair does not suit you.
How would you say the cockpit would feel on the beta for a 6”3 rider. Currently been riding ktm for 6 years & fancy a change but worried will feel to cramped up on the smaller beta. Thanks for any advice
I’m 6’2” I don’t think it’s cramped at all.
Good man, thanks for the reply. Loving the videos here in the uk 👌
Beta does feel a tad smaller, but I really love the bike. The Austrian bikes do have a very lively motor package, and it’s more exciting but I’m in love with the smooth torque from crack of the throttle to upper mid range. I do wish for a bit more top end, and am currently testing a few options in that pursuit but I don’t regret going Beta for the first time what so ever. Plus she’s just damn sexy to look at.
You can see how good they are in the rock section. Such sick bikes and killer riding!
Definitely do TSP head and tune AND, critically, set the TPS as they suggest when you do that!
What are your thoughts on the TE clutch? Its got the 9mm braktec MC, right?
I don’t mind the clutch at all. Good friction zone easy pull
Great video! On your Husky, if you don't like the Braketec front brake switching to a KTM Brembo master and caliper is an easy modification and I'm sure would improve the brake performance and feel. The TSP map and head on the 2024 300 TBI work great and was a big improvement for bottom end power and smoothness compared to the stock map on my bike. Recommend getting the ERM package which allows you to tweak the map if necessary (fuel, ignition and PV), read and reset ECU codes and also read engine data (rpm, temp, TPS voltage etc).
I have some customizations coming!
Would love to get some feedback on the Stark Varg when you get a chance to ride one (I have one if you want to try it).
I hope to test one!
@@IRCTireUSAMoto Happy to meet you out at Soldier sometime. You are welcome to give mine a try! Just let me know.
The TSP tune and head along with 13/47 gearing take the Husky to a whole new level. Sorry to hear about your front brake issues. The Braktec brakes on my Husky are just as strong as the Brembo’s on my buddies bike. Maybe I got one of the good ones, or you got one of the bad ones.
Excited for some tuning!
I got the ERM power kit. Changed the bike completely. It was very mellow before which is good for an avg weekend warrior. The head that was provided with the kit, made it have a pleasant hard hit.
I'm on a 19 300xc and haven't loved any of the fuel injected bikes that's why I haven't upgraded. I love the carb feel. I might have to try a beta 300 next.
Carbs are still king imo
I bought the 22 beta race 300 and I love it man. They’re good bikes.
I have a 19 300xc as well. Also a 18 Husky. I have never been sold on the injected bikes. I have over 300hrs on my ktm on dirt and snow. Original bottom ends. Top ends every 60-80hrs. Built motors that are high compression, ported, and decked cylinders for advanced timing. They are solid and simple and easy to tune. If I knew I could get the same HP/performance out of a beta or sherco it would be an easy choice.
@@TrevynNewpher Yeah that's the only problem. Each sherco I ride is way down on power compared to my 19 xc. Beta is closer but still doesn't put out the power of the 17-19 carb ktm bikes.
Me and some buddies did a beta demo day. Rode the lineup then also rode my ktm around the course. They left to go get ktms. Also theirs something for me about the ergonomic of a beta I'm not a fan of.
Different strokes!
@@IRCTireUSAMoto for sure. That's the great thing today, a bike for anyone and can't really go wrong with any model
Legend thanks. 2025 RR- XPRO next???? 🙏👍💪
We shall see
Keen to hear your thoughts on Beta doing away with rr models for 2025 and replacing with rr x-pro? Apparently in between x-trainer and current rr. 👍
They aren’t replacing the rr. Prolly replacing the X trainer though.
Watch 3seas recreation latest video (5th biggest beta dealer in North America) according to them they are replacing the rr.
