Parasect definitely needs an evo cuz I love Parasect. Luvdisc needs an evolution so that I can have a reason to actually praise the stupid thing. Shuckle does not need to evolve. It's the one Pokémon I am actively against evolving.

Love it, very interesting. I wonder if the Knight’s enemies already do contain the void heart since Shade doesn’t attack them, while the Knight needs to acquire it. If so, why doesn’t he have it in the first place? Is he like a Pure Knight without regrets?

Surely the focus charms were forged rather than a death wish?

Perhaps none of the vessels are hollow and all are tainted and the pale king thought wrong of them?

I feel like hollow knight needs a spinoff for each of the little mechanics. between the void, lifeblood, dream realm, and silk, there's a lot to be covered !! i'm personally biased towards exploring the dream realm a bit more, but i'm happy to get anything hollow knight !!

I personally think of the Knight's deaths as non-canon, but there' are definitely some very interesting details to spot if you look at it otherwise. Thanks for pointing those out! I especially like the theory that the Knight missing exactly 1/3rd of their soul vessel is in reference to how they're missing 1/3rd of their origin.

I want to know the lore of Ellina the Chronicler. Specifically how her travels through Hallownest lines up with the knight's. As the wanderer's journal book is described as extended canon. I especially want to know about her ventures through the void, as in how she survived.

I like to think about the fact that Markoth's body has one dreamshield around him but when you fight him his spirit has two. He gave his other shield to Seer ;-; (I also have a lot of thoughts about Markoth going off to try to solve the mystery of Hallownest's origins that was hidden from them (that pk didn't create the world/was from the outside) and that that made him a target thus why he was talking about people coming after him) (but that's another subject XD) Nice video 💖💖💖

The more information and theories I discover about the vessels and the void in general, the more that I realize that we will probably never know the full extent of just how despicable of a being the pale king is.

I personally think it’s more likely that the vessel committed suicide since hornet doesn’t try to take your nail and that the vessel was leaning against something, not hunched over from death in battle.

Okay. Gotta Say This Right Now: I definitely could see a hypothetical scenario involving a fungal infection. Heck, on my first playthrough, I even initially thought that fungi had something to do with the infection (ala The Last of Us). As you said, there are also real life parasitic fungi (like the infamous cordyceps).

On a related note, I personally believe that the actual cause of the soul magic in the sanctum is The Radiance. While it's clear that The Radiance manipulated the Soul Master, I think she also is the one warping the soul. That is the only instance we see of soul having a yellow and orange undertone. There are also parallels to be drawn to the radiances own abilities with them. Essentially I believe The Radiance created the soul twisting methods to be usable by a mortal body, and then extends her mind into the users to actually focus the energy. We've already seen that soul and dream have parallels, and often intersect. The arcane lore the hunter mentions, may actually be a form of memetic allowing The Radiance to intertwine soul and dream at your location. This also explains the orange crystals the soul manipulators wear, as crystals not only bridge the gap with The Radiance, but also allows for an increased level of focus. It could make sense that normal bugs can use soul, but given we never otherwise saw such occurrences, and the connection to The Radiance inclines me to believe that is the true source of the soul twisting techniques.

The vessels dont grow. The hollow knights body was morphing due to the radience. As tactically, growing wouldnt be necessarry for them to fight or fufill their duities as they are extremely powerful with their small size and a bigger body means bigger target, the smaller the target the more accurate the opponent has to be like trying to hit a fly. The knight is as old as the hollow knight and wandered the wastelands for a while and the wasteland beyond hollowknight shows no signes of stopping aging. I believe the radience either began morphing the hollow knights body to match their own (think of how jesus was the living embodiment of god. And the radience is trying to mimic its body the best it can with the hollow knight) Or the hollow knights body grew under the strain of trying to hold the radienc's power and i believe this because of the cloak the vessels wear. The cloak seems to be a part of them and is made of a material similar to moth wings. If aging occured naturally then the cloak would at least be as long as the pale kings once fully grown. But the hollow knights cloak is still small meaning it hasnt grown with it either because it cant grow or it had not been deemed important enough to by the radience since it doesnt mimic the radiences F L O O F and growing it would make it more akin to the pale kings.

My headcanon about Dryya is that she's a Root like the White Lady. She's just some sort of smaller, more mobile species of Root, and likely went to Hallownest with the White Lady to be her body guard, either because they knew each other already or because she was royalty in their homeland.

I feel like since the Grey Mourner is not from Hallownest it could be that the Grey Mourner is from the 'Lands Serene' a place outside of Hallownest and it could be that is also where Delicate Flower originated so if the 'Lands Serene' is powerful enough to like destroy or move the void then the place could be white but if the Shade Lord did consume Hallownest in the Embrace the Void Ending then if you give the Delicate Flower to Nailmaster Oro and Elderbug then i'm pretty sure they are teleported to the 'Lands Serene' but if the Delicate version of the Embrace the Void then i'm pretty sure that the Shade Lord got transported and who knows what happened to the 'Lands Serene' this is just a theory

I always thought they were puppets. We do see one uninfected and alive weaver in the weaver's Den, so maybe they were the one controlling them? Or maybe there was an unseen puppeteer that acted from offscreen.

What I believe is that the Shade Lord would've probably done the same thing Radiance did to Hallownest. It would basically become its new ruler and consume Hallownest in darkness like Radiance consumed it in light and dreams. That is at least how I view it.

I love the idea of the Knight knowing sign. But then, how did they learn it? I headcanon that they spent a couple of years outside of Hallownest after escaping the Abyss not long before the events of the game (for context, I believe that Void stops the flow of time so Vessels trapped in it don't age), and that they were adopted and cared for by someone. This someone would have taught them how to communicate nonverbally since they were either truly voiceless as the Pale King wanted, or because they were simply a baby that had yet to learn how to speak verbally.

Now the question would be how does the Knight respawn at the bench? The reason that I came up with is that Void seems to have a weird relationship with the flow of time, as suggested by the lore tablet in the White Palace workshop which says it can “deny time”, and how Hallownest is referred to being in a sort of stasis by some characters and how characters from outside of the kingdom treat it as some long forgotten and ancient ruin while characters from Hallownest, like Hornet, have remained young. My guess is that because Void is seemingly disconnected from time, it allows beings that are closely attuned to it to manipulate time to some small degree. For the Hollow Knight, their sealing caused time to stop in Hallownest’s underground, while the Knight can travel backwards in time a short distance to evade death. Why a Shade is left is that it probably acts as a sort of anchor, allowing the Knight to return to the time they died and regain their Shade. If this confuses you, then trust me, it confuses me even more. This is the kind of theory that would need serious ironing out before I can think about it without getting an aneurysm.

Team Cherry said godseeker mode comes after the embrace the void ending. This is further shown by Godseeker's dialogue in that mode. They didn't say which variant. The shade lord is not made out of the Hollow Knight's shade as it comes out of the black egg temple in the embrace the void endings.

Everyone always believed that the Shade Lord sought to consume or destroy Hallownest, after escaping godhome. But I always thought that it would just return to the abyss like the Void did in the dream no more ending. If that is the case, then the last ending(s) is/are no longer a cliffhanger. But I could be wrong of course.

I believe I have said this before on a previous video that you have made, but the Shade Lord always struck me as the Void taking on a more physical form. We have seen that the Void has shown its own sentience, so it would make sense for the Shade Lord to be a form the Void takes to move around once the Knight reaches the summit of the Pantheon. As for what the Shade Lord does after it breaks out into Hallownest. I believe it would more than likely try to consume all light and life before returning to the abyss. We have seen that the void has wanted to break out of the abyss with how void tendrils attach to a King's guard outside the palace. Perhaps the Void's inherent darkness causes it to want to destroy light and life by instinct.

Good Video but one Thing: I think the Hollow Knights Shade isnt part of the Shade Lord because in this ending the Hollow Knight does survive and as WE know a vessels Shade only appears when their Shell breaks but then again we don't even know if the radiance in the pantheon is somehow still Part of the Hollow Knights dream prison or not so who knows.

This is the theory I gave on one of Mossbag’s videos is this: I believe that the snail shamans themselves are a lot like Vessels, in that they aren’t born of Void but rather became imbued with it. Perhaps they are a Void worshipping culture that inherited their culture from the Ancient Civilization? As for how they become avoid imbued, there are seemingly places where it seeps out of the ground outside of the Abyss, like in the Sharp Shadow area in Deepnest. These places would have allowed the snails to collect Void to use for whatever they needed, including turning themselves into pseudo-Vessels.

Kinda late but I definitely think the PK is significantly better. The Radiance should only have infected the moth tribe if anything since they were the ones who chose to forsake her, the PK played no part in that. He tolerates other gods like Unn so I doubt he would have cared if the Moths kept worshipping the Radiance. He could have easily conquered the Mantis's or Deepnest if he really wanted to but didn't. Lastly, the main argument against him is how he tried to combat the infection, and yes, killing thousands of your children, even if they are empty, isn't cool. However, you can argue that this shows that PK was willing to sacrifice a lot to save the Kingdom, along with cheating on his wife to enact the plan. He clearly showed regret for it as shown in the tablets in the ancient basin and in the white palace too. If he didn't try anything to stop the infection and just noped his way out of existence into White Palace, he would be much worse. His methods were bad, but from his perspective, it makes perfect sense, it was either sacrifice thousands of children to find 1 """pure""" one or leave Hallownest and all future generations mindless slaves to the Radiance pretty much permanently. In the end, his plan worked, just not exactly how it was planned to
