I am a purist. The game art designers intended the colors and graphics to look a certain way on a CRT television or monitor. Changing this, like having pixel perfect image or perfect RGB output to an LCD monitor for example, kind of goes against the original idea or work. But that's my opinion. Great video BTW! If I can make one suggestion, it would be to move whatever you were reading next to your camera so it doesn't look like you are looking away at something. Otherwise, good job! 👍🏻

How are cloned Pokémon considered cheating

I got my av famicom modded about 5 years ago and it blew my mind the first time I hooked it up and compared the difference. Love being able to switch between custom palettes as well. It would be interesting to do the old school mod of swapping out the ppu with one of the playchoice 10 arcade chips but colors would obviously be weird game to game as the ppus were custom game to game.

Wouldn't an unmodded AV Famicom be able to output S-Video? I feel like that would've bridged the gap better with the least amount of effort.

I have the top loader Famicom and a RAD 2X Cable. I see the RGB Blaster now and the SEGA Saturn Cable are another option. I highly suggest you check out Sam's Journey and Mischief Castle Digital Versions for NES that are out now. Cool stuff.

What emulator do you recommend to run this

One very simple way that they could do it is simply not allow the GB and GBA Pokémon games to have any Pokémon home support at all. That way even if you could somehow cheat in the game itself, there would be no way to get those Pokémon out of the game and in to the more modern ones. But it’s unlikely that they would do that either because i doubt they want to miss out on the opportunity to have enough more people subscribing to the Pokémon home service. And I don’t think that is what most people want when they say they want classic Pokémon on switch. I’m pretty sure most people want the classic games with full home support and if that isn’t possible then most people would probably not care about the old Pokémon games for their own isolated sake. But I guess having them be completely disconnected from modern Pokémon services like home is better than not having them at all.

The awkward sound conversion is because the NES and SNES sound chips work very differently. The NES produces waveforms directly, while the SNES uses a sample-based system, which requires significant compression to fit into the cart. So the only way to reproduce the NES sound is to record it and compress it to fit.

Honestly, I'm really impressed they even ported the NES game to the system virtually identically. I think this is the first time I ever heard of an NES game on SNES.

Edit: The original game was for satella view, and late when this one was discontinued, was released as a cadrige for de super famicom. The original nes sounds are dificult to reproduce in the snes or the famicom repectly because the sound chip functions very diferent, this better explained for people who try to reprograme super mario world to make new games or just the original super mario bros, in the later case, having the same sound as the all star version because of the soundchip that use.

I hate when gameing company do that, you must play this way or not play our game at all, and it is not even an online game and they still treated like an online game. This is not the only gameing company that does this problem, the company for animal crosssing also does that even if you play it offline. This is one of the reason I never bought animal crossing.

what a load of bull. The older Gen games allowed duping because the games never had to put patches or update on those Older gen games. Even if they did re release them those old gen duping would probably still be there.
