Thanks! When I get more time during the summer, I can probably take a look at an updated Deck Building Guide. I do feel as if those tend to get outdated pretty quickly, though. The TCG just loves to add in new mechanics, but at least some general principles still apply, even in the current one.

I don't know about all three of them in a team since it seems a bit slow paced and low on damage, but I'll eventually get to using the cards here and there.

Tried that. It's usually too expensive or only best at very specific times. Toss Up and the two Libraries make a huge difference, especially after generating the Treasure dice. They ensure that skills can come out consistently.

People really run Hydro Herald with Crab? I think I saw it once, but I thought it was a bit of a meme. I just froze it out of doing anything with this deck (a very early version of it).

​​@@SausageGenshinTeapotTCGyes, crab only needs 1 shield generator, herald allows you to tax the opp's dice so crab can stall for his ult and just kill everyone, herald is also good for tanking big dmg from an enemy crab and revive, it's actually the most meta version of the crab deck

@@ryukagefurishira4075 Frankly, I don't find Crab decks all that strong, so it's pseudo-meta status (which I also care little about) doesn't mean much. I've encountered it quite a few times in the past few sessions of working on decks, and it hasn't left much of an impression. Usually just kill off the two side units before it can really ramp up. Eventually, I'll get around to making a Crab deck of my own. Not a huge fan of it or really messing with it much. A bit sad, too; I was rather looking forward to the Crab.

That pretty much is the goal. Most opponents really don't run consistent enough Quick-Swap to get out of the Freeze-lock, and Charlotte's Cryo Application is really good. Even Anemo Res decks only have a few options.

The hand size limit can be an issue with decks that draw their entire deck, but honestly, I want an increased deck size more than anything. 30 cards, especially with how much Card Draw the game has now, feels too limiting to creativity. Most TCGs have a 50-60 Deck size.

@@SausageGenshinTeapotTCG Yea i agree on that too. Still 12 cards in hand would be more bearable then 10, considering some cards draw 2 or 3 and you more often then not have 2 of those up while still having around 6 or 7 cards. Then you add some armor that give you cards when you are hit and suddenly enemy hit makes you lose card instead of gaining ir. I mean it's a struggle for decks that draw many cards to get to certain cards they really need - they might end up losing the card they were looking for. Changing cards into dice is nice, but when you end up with 0 dice and 10 cards before turn end, you kinda wish you could just throw some cards away. As for deck amount of cards - yes i wish we could use more cards. The game would be harder in terms of getting what you want, but in same time more interesting with each match. Even with recently added "extra" cards (trasure cards, the doggo, etc) you may still run out of cards before match end. I was even in a duel against deck with 2 shielders and a crab and it was really cool trying to play around its burst and shielding, he had 29 shield points at one point (i was using your freeze deck at the time) and both of us ended with no cards and that crab was still healthy. I managed to KO its 2 shielders supports but by that time the game just ended and even though i didnt lose a single character, i was declared a loser in the match (due to some timer i guess?). First time it happened to me. Worst part is i was at the point of the match when i could actually handle the crab standing alone with no extra shields gained but the game decided, nope, no more fun.... Sooo TL;DR higher card limit, more cards in deck and they really need to do something with that "whole battle timer". They could at least call it a draw, i dunno really. Never have i ever had such long fights to reach it. The crab is mega crazy. I suppose the game counts shield points and hp to determine who got more and declares them a winner in that situation...

They should let us choose which cards we want to discard if we overdraw instead of just burning random cards from the draw, that would solve most problems

I'm probably going to keep messing around with various Tax decks. I feel like they have the potential to be the most novel and fun, and I also feel like most other people don't really do much content on them (though I don't really pay much attention to other creators).

Just wait until Cryo Abyss Herald eventually drops. Or even better: Electro Abyss Lector who could drain energy. Energy tax is just a card or two away! Could imagine a Tatarasuna Island card that just drains an energy point after a specific criteria is met (like the current Serai Island) just to add even more pain to it.

@@SausageGenshinTeapotTCG Electro Lector draining energy is too real. I can just see it. (I love it, I love that the NPC cards are getting something special to set them apart from the character cards.)

Jeht has heavily been nerfed, yes. Honestly, it's a good thing. Of course, Hoyo did it again with some of these new cards... Not an update goes by without them finding a way to break something else.

I'm sure a few cards would likely need to be replaced here and there due to the changes.

Jeht would probably fit into that deck, but that's not surprising since Jeht fits into most decks.

Hoyo balancing things? That's a funny one. It wouldn't be hard, though. Only one Jeht can trigger per Round. Now, this would only net 4 dice on max stacks, giving at least one additional attack. Of course, this might just see an influx of Jeht/Gilded combo decks (and those already exist), but it would be harder to just get a R2-3 OTK from a single burst.

Thanks! The second song in the first match should be "Virelai des Marees," one of the Fontaine battle themes. 10:50 actually starts the third theme which is "Envoi of Coppelius," one of the themes used for the dancing mech boss.

I did record this right after waking up in the morning, so my voice certainly wasn't all there. It was pretty much required of me to eventually make a Jeht deck or two. At least there's very little to explain with them: just slap down cheap support cards and burn them. I honestly spent most of these matches just messing around and not taking things too seriously, lol.

@@SausageGenshinTeapotTCG Yep, I could certainly see that you were just chilling during the matches. Jeth makes every deck work on her. That makes her matches more like a bubble shooter game from a random minigames website

I actually have one already made. Just need to get around to recording it.

If I recall, I do believe an Egg showed up in one of the matches. Not really when needed, though, sadly.

Thanks, and don't worry. It's a long one with way more Potions and stonkenomics than TCG, though some TCG did still make it into the stream, thankfully.

Hmm, aggressive and mid-range kind of decks tend to be good for newer players. I would generally stay away from Stall decks early on since they require a lot of knowledge checks and resource management. But honestly, probably the most important thing is to find a deck or Character Card that you enjoy. The more you enjoy it, the more you'll want to stick with it and learn the ins and outs of the TCG.
