I just sort of drifted into this off the beaten path exploring. I think it stemmed in big part due to growing bored with riding the same roads and visiting the same places. There’s just something so relaxing about heading out mooching without much of a plan and no constraints on time or distance. I think the mental health benefits to doing this are massive. We’re heading to Ireland on Saturday to explore the Wild Atlantic Way, a week of motorcycling what could be better. 🙂 Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 😀👍🏻

Thank you Peter, so pleased to hear you enjoyed the video. I get a lot of mixed emotions when I’m out riding in these landscapes and see something like the mountain that has been mined, or is or quarried, for the slate but I’m able to reconcile it knowing that it was a necessity and I’m sure the community that grew from it would have been closely knit. Riding around these area really does wonders for expanding the mind, I really do love it. Definitely helps if you can raise the neigh of the beeline to bring it as close as possible to line of sight. @@MerciaMoto Yes those slates went worldwide didn't they and most are still keeping the weather out - certainly in Portsmouth last time I visited! As a very naive twenty year old riding to Llanberis in winter it really did seem bleak. I was totally unprepared for what I saw. Yet in early summer when we rode there again (exactly where we camped I wish I knew - somewhere near Bettws I think) it just seemed magical. But that's what a bit of sunshine can do and you most certainly had that. So pleased to be able to join you on this exploration of Wales.

Hello Felix, thank you for watching and leaving a comment. I haven’t changed the sprocket on my Scram but based on my experience of the change on my Hunter I can definitely see how it would improve. I have the DNA free flowing air filter and PrecisionEnd Can on my Scram and it does sit comfortably between 70 and 80 on a flat road. Cheers 👍🏻😀

Hi Chris, as soon as they were released I’d made up my mind it had to be the White Flame. I do like the black and silver which would have been my second choice. I ran it in studiously and it really has paid dividends I could feel the engine loosening. Adding the DNA air filter and Enfield Precision end cam really did help thwart scram to breath more freely. You’re right the power increase is negligible it just feels like it isn’t laboured at all. You definitely don’t buy these for the power, just enjoy them for what they are. I’ve loved owning mine. Hiya Garry and Ruby, yeah it’s been a joy having Stan over in Wales, we’ve clocked up loads of rides together since May. I’m not gonna run out of material for making videos any time soon! 😂😂 I wish I’d done it years ago so I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. It’s a joy to hear you’re enjoying the videos, it really helps with keeping me inspired to make em, I’ve found it hard to motivate myself to edit them recently. We had a mishap whilst out on a ride a few weeks back, no serious injuries but a written of bike. I won’t say who it was to spare his blushes, but it has given the old mojo a bit of a knock. @@MerciaMoto Oh Dave. So sorry to hear that ! Just reassure him/her that these things can be quickly forgotten, if you just move on and don't let them ruin your life. Easier said than done, I know, but in 18 months time things will look very different to how they look today and to a degree, we get to influence that ! Consider yourself lucky that you only have to edit videos ! I am currently still in a cycle of having to record and edit and upload in the space of seven days. Still trying to break that cycle, my latest videos should help with that, but having content on the shelf to be edited at my leisure is actually a long held dream of mine ! You know. Since like three and a half years ago ! 😂 Take care Dave and enjoy your rides. I know that we all will ! Tell the afflicted party to keep his/her chin up and not let his/her future life be determined by a stupid twist of fate. That was then. This is now ! We can choose to move on and indeed we should ! Hiya Maurice, thanks for watching mate 👍🏻I believe all Royal Enfield 350’s have the J Series engine. The gearing on my Scram is not the best, I’ve thought about changing the sprocket but I’m not sure 🤔I did have some fun on my Interceptor.

@@jonathandeeley6276 hello Jonathan thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I’m 5’7 29” inside leg so a bit on the short side. However my friend Paul who you will see on a lot of the videos who also has a Hunter is 6’2 32” inside leg like yourself loves his Hunter and finds it really comfortable over long distances. We took the Hunters on Tour to Norfolk beginning of July and were clocking up 150 - 200 miles every day and neither of us experienced any discomfort issues. We both have the signature Bench seat (Hitchcocks) fitted to the bikes which raises you slightly. Regarding the 16T sprocket and acceleration, first gear seems noticeably longer before needing to change up, I wouldn’t say it’s quicker of the mark but it is much smoother and less laboured. 2nd to fourth are longer too and I’m finding I can stay in fourth for longer before needing to change up which has made 5th gear feel much more of an overdrive gear, I haven’t noticed any loss in power in fifth gear either. During the test it was running very comfortably at 70mph and still had more to give. I was out on my Scram 411 yesterday which is thoroughly run and I thought to myself that the Hunter now feels faster and more responsive. Hope this helps to answer your question? 👍🏻😀

The speed on these bikes is measured from the ABS sensor, therefore it won’t affect the speedometer readings. I’ll feed back on 70mph revs as soon as I can. Cheers 👍🏻😀

​@@MerciaMoto Thanks Dave. I'm loving my Hunter much more than i thought i would considering my previous bike was a Triumph Street Triple. I bought it just over 3 months ago with just 600 miles on the clock and I've put a further 3600 miles on it. It rides and handles better than i thought it would, and the economy is excellent. I'm getting between 92mpg and 105mpg depending on how and where i ride

We’re a tad constrained by time on the evening rides out, I would have liked to have had more of a wonder around, but at least I now have another excuse to return 😀 I first saw this particular CCM on the motorbike show a few years back then saw them at Motorcycle Live (probably 2019) 🤔 and I’d always wanted to own one.
