- Second in a short series of videos exploring and discovering the amazing roads and landscapes of the Llyn Peninsula in north Wales on my Royal Enfield Scram 411, culminating int the discovery of the exceptional beautiful Porthor Beach (Traeth Porthor).
Sunday 5th May and an early start see's Stan the Scram and myself continuing our exploration of the exceptionally beautiful Llyn Peninsula. This second instalment sees us riding further into the incredible landscapes, lanes and villages that make up this amazing part of Wales. The glorious sunshine and clear views made for a magical riding experience. I had plotted a stop of at Porthor Beach when planning the route using the Beeline App, but hadn't anticipated it being such an incredibly beautiful location. Setting out early on this ride meant that there were very few folks around at the time of the visit, providing an opportunity to spend some time to take things slowly and become immersed in the experience.

@@MerciaMoto Oh I most certainly will, Dave - this another of your best. Busy day here so I'll save the second half for this evening. Pembrokeshire around St David's, up to Strumble Head down to Newgale and the lovely little inlets all around the coast like Solva are simply breathtaking. Cycled them many times.

I always knew it was a beautiful place from TV, books, magazines and conversations with folks who have been that it was a beautiful place, but you have to immerse yourself into the place to really discover how special it is. I'm definitely going back to venture down lots more of those lanes that I passed along the way! 😀👍🏻

Fabulous ride Dave and your joy in the experience was infectious, thanks for taking me along and sharing your thoughts👍 I've fitted my Hunter with Hitchcock's oil temperature gauge. A simple screw in replacement for the oil filler cap. I thought it could be a sneaky addition for you to keep ahead in the modification duel with Paul😉

@@MerciaMoto Yes, I have the black one to match the engine. Just watched the exciting TT highlights on ITV4, those riders get round in less than 17mins, I reckon I could get my Hunter round under 17hrs but that would include stops for tea and chips🤣

That B-line reader seems to work very wall. Does it have to be linked to Google Maps?
Hi Tim and thank you! I find the Beeline to be a bit glitchy at times, however on this ride it worked ok. It was mainly me missing turnings that was the issue. 😂 It is operated from the Beeline App, which as far as I’m aware uses Google earth for the base mapping data. 👍🏻😀
