Make sure you use the right sand. If its clay soil using the wrong sand will act like cement with the clay.

Well... tbh we have something similar in the uk. Its just called the council. And depemding where you live, and more specifically, the type of house you bought, there could be different regulations here and stricts rules on wjat you can or can't do!! It is such a pain in the arse. But trully, you guys in america, you habe it kinda sweet! You simply cannot build freely here in the uk without prior authorization (yes, even for a goddamn shed in some cases) in the uk!! Because we have what's called "listed building" i.e. they are historical structures or homes that cannot be touched or tempered with, depending on the severity! Because UK wants it to be more uniform historically intact!
