Bro I live near you. Keep your grass slightly longer and slowly taper off the water. My lawn looks perfect and I water 1 or 2 times a week Max. You're making your grass have shallow roots. Flood it once a week and the roots grow deep and Hardy.
Your lawn just went through shock from the heat and not receiving water daily. Id definitely try at a later date (spring or summer) to only water 2-3 times weeky. Id like to see how deep your roots are currently.
Here’s what I’d do (if I wanted a cool season grass not to go dormant in an increasingly desert-esque climate) 1. Apply humectant. Hydretain is probably the biggest name brand. There’s pellet and liquid forms. Usually lasted a few months per application for me when I had a lawn in UT. 2. Raise the cutting height at least a half inch. The ”tall” grass will shade the bare dirt, decreasing evaporation.
You sounded so confident like 12 videos ago when you first started this 😅 been there many times I been building homes for like 12 years now and it seems when it comes to something that don't even seem hard everything falls apart and it totally looks like a dumpster fire lol I've poured thousands of yards of concrete but can't make a level fully cooked pancake 😂
Dude maybe you should use native plants in your yard. They attract wildlife like birds and insects, they're more interesting to look at, they provide more shade, and they support more microbes for healthier soil. Did you know that grass is the most irrigated crop in the US? Crazy! We don't eat lawns so why are we wasting so much water on them?
Study how a greens keeper constructs a golf course green, which is what I suspect you're trying to achieve. You're never going to get there doing this. What you've got now should be great, but putting on it? Not going to happen. You'll have to remove 3 feet of dirt at least, dig drainage ditches, layer in gravel and then a good sprinkler system followed with good soil, compact it and then seed with Bentgrass, which is a high maintenance grass susceptible to pests and disease. I think you should be happy with what you've got now.
Looking great. Always look forward to your lawn update videos!
Milking it 😂
Keep updating man, always looking for it especially the fertilizer test

I don’t know why I’m so invested in this, but I am and I’m not leaving 💪🏻
Right 😂

Ypu might want to check out if those dry spots are getting the full amount of water. Many times the over lap lacks.
recommend rolling it as well once it starts to green up can rent a 1 ton and it will really help level it
Love from Northeast Florida bro! Keep at it.
Its looking pristine
Love your journey!
Idaho gang😍💪
We need an update!

Bro is the hank huckerdoo
You know what makes grass look bad.... sand.
No it actually helps
I agree w/ both parties. There's a time and place for sand. June (85° - 92°) yes, July in +95° ...no
@@hunterhowe3205 It does help.. to kill your grass lol
what does one do with so much so much grass?
Geez. Just let it grow more. Then it doesnt dry out and you cant see minor dips. More environmental. Win win.
