The real angle to play here is to get Valve to fix Steam itself, Banana is probably the most botted game on the platform atm and it only shows that Valve can't control their own platform software if it's so easy to automate the creation of accounts and subsequent botting, an issue that could actually cost them credibility as a platform and potentially money. Fixing Steam's botting problem would also indirectly fix TF2's botting at least partially, hell, all their games have botting issues these days and it's getting out of control.

I am not a fan of weapon skins in TF2 and I just hope (provided Valve doesn't pull out the plug on TF2 and bots don't run loose still) that people mass trade up as many skins as humanly possible and make almost all weapon skins become a rarity.

Valve's attempt to put CS:GO aspects into TF2 is what really killed it for me. It's been downhill ever since then.

look, I'm gonna be real, I am a newer, and younger player, only about half a year older than TF2 itself, and I don't really have room to talk here, BUT, I like voicing my opinions, and in this case, I love the game and community interactions, I find objectors to be funny, and I hate a bunch of bullshit censorship and sterilization. Hell, one of my favorite parts of playing the game is the user interactions, whether that be ridiculous stuff said in voice or text chat, or funny decals, and when someone pull out an objector, half the time the game stops momentarily cause everyone wants to get a peek at what has been put on it, and I think that's great. anyway, I know I'm late to this by a year, but I don't give a fuck, I'm glad that decals are still in the game.

i always had a belif that there was a bidding war between tf2s community and valve becuase of the cheaters that infest the game. valve knows the problem is there.. but they cant reach it because of the danger the hacker/cheater bots poses.. they hear us. but the problem isnt easy to fix

5-6 years? More like 10-15 years. TF2 has always been bots. The only players are in a small selection of servers. If there were truly 10s of thousands of live players, then there wouldn’t be desolation during off peak hours. Which anyone can verify by opening the browser outside of 4pm-10pm local time. Even the matchmaking system would be somewhat speedy to find 11 other players to start a game. But it’s not this way and never has been.

my account got stolen ones idk if it was a bot net thingi but he change the name to kulk or something and some numbers and the bot or person started playing tf2 but i got my account back after a week

I hate that it’s come to this. I miss how TF2 was back in 2016/2017. Jungle inferno added stuff yes, fixed a couple items, but debuffed half of the items into the trash can and hurt the game more than valve could’ve ever thought, and now we have this… so sad
