Seriously why bother? It's like lamenting the fact that people don't ride horses anymore as the major form of transportation. Those were great times, present times are not. Isn't this the guy who complains about Don Henley and others trying to protect their stuff? We all have our time, and those of us in our 60's and 70's now enjoyed some of the best times ever for creative popular music. Today's generation is as interesting as dying or dead grass. Lots of artists got totally screwed by the music industry back in the day "bro". You're only 21 once.

Is he comparing these to a perfect version he's heard before or to the perfect version that he hears in his head from reading the music sheets? I've only seen where they record a full orchestra together on stage or in a huge studio. Have they ever recorded an orchestra a few instruments at a time in a studio to a click track and then mix, quantize, equalize, add reverb and such to make a perfect studio version of a classical piece?

Music caught me when I was 15 @High School with the Beatles, 1966. We all progressed with each new album of the Beatles. After the Beatles came some wild stuff but when Boston came out with Smokin, that was it, the finale. To me, Somkin was the pinnace and the other songs in that album was icing on the cake, wow, one album, pure joy. I still listen to Smokin and occasionally play it on my organ but I am not a professional< love Boston to this day, 45+ years later!

The Feiten system sounds really good on paper. I’ve never played a guitar with it but would like to. I often sub the 2nd for the 3rd. 3rds are murder unless you tune to a specific voicing and stick with it. Not the best for voice leading. I got so frustrated during a hired hand session one time that I used 2 tracks to get a maj triad in tune. One track for the 5th interval and another for the 3rd which has to be flat to sound right. Try using the D G and B strings to sound perfect for a G triad. Then check your B against your E. Ouch..it will loosen your cavities. I use specific voicings that I know will sound cool like most of us that have been at this for a lifetime.
