I stumbled across your video while searching for some perspectives on what my daughter is going through. I have always had better than average flexibility, but not to the extremes that you describe with these syndromes. 3 years ago she wanted to be a professional dancer. No she wants to go into physical therapy to help others like her, and has given up on her dreams for dancing. This father feels helpless as I can't make this pain go away. This is something that has altered my daughter's college selection process. I've also recently began doing the carnivore diet, focusing on red meat, chicken thighs occasionally (breasts are too lean), and eggs. I have heard many stories about the carnivore diet benefiting inflammatory issues, and helping with joint pain. Have you heard anything about this in your search for relief or tried it yourself? Even if it's not 100% carnivore, I'm hoping that maybe a keto-type diet might be beneficial, with the reduction in sugars, inflammatory ingredients, and oxalates.

I'm 84 and am self-diagnosed Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. A brief history: As a toddler in the early 1940s my ankles had to be taped so I could learn to walk. Ankles remained weak and couldn't ice or roller skate like the other kids. Both knees dislocated when I was age 15. 3 surgeries on both knees. Rt. knee continued to dislocate until 2000 when I had a total knee implant. Also, both shoulders dislocate and have neck and back subluxations. I don't remember what life was like without constant grinding and often piercing pain. Also have IBS and heart problems. If only information had been available to my parents but back then, nobody had any idea of causation.

He appears to be a good boy. My dog was killed by 2 pit bulls while he slept on the doorstep. My dog was 10 years old and did not hear them climb over the wall. I witnessed this attack. It’s been 5 years and I’m still trying to get passed the trauma. I feel very anxious when I see pit bulls at the vet’s. I am really trying to work on this. I do not want to live in fear. One thing I do is to watch the show ‘pit bulls and parolees’. I agree with you. It is not the breed. It’s about the owner. One day at a time. Missing you, Lisa’s mom❤

Do you think vet techs are under paid ? I’m trying to make a decision between vet tech school and veterinary school - (so much debt) . If I go into speciality to they get paid more ? 😅

Some shelters don't have a vet on staff. I adopted a dog and the shelter in North Carolina and they didn't even do shots,they gave her a rabies shot 5minutes before I walked out the door with her (and the WRONG YEAR TAG) . I came home from work one night and found out that she had had her pups while I was at work. Fortunately they got forever homes.

I'm going in for a Vet Assistant job today to check out the field. This video was very truthful and I appreciate it.

I’ve been suffering with this for two decades and it’s just now finally been diagnosed! I take acetaminophen 8 hour arthritis medication and it helps a ton! Acetaminophen isn’t hard on the body like a lot of other drugs are.

Hmm, how do you fix or 'cure' an animal?! Like you said, the organs were unfixable?! I know there's a way, correct-right?! Is it physically possible to replace or donate animal organs to another animal in an immediante emergency?! + With enough knwolege, the correct placement, with every known possible solution to 'fix' a certain animal...how do you save them more when their is more than a rare possible solution to not euthanize that specific species?! I know there has to be, right?! There's gotta be?! right?! & like you said, they got (that or the feline) hit by the car or a vehicle?! + if enough impact it seems the organs get misplaced?! hmm, sounds right i think?! But how do you know what there is to do other than just one option?! 😥 ------- Fear is a hard thing to have to feel...! Technology, i don't trust very well..! Great tips! Walmart scrubs is also where I started but they fade over time. I also recommend checking thrift shops because they are donated often. If you can afford new scrubs, I recommend scrubs with stretch and moisture wicking if possible because bodily fluids will be on you. As for what's in my pockets, I agree about labeling your pens with washi tape. I always have multiple pens, 2 Sharpies (I'm stealing your Ultra Fine idea,) a highlighter, my bandage scissors and chapstick.

Current CSR soon to start a tech program and the number one thing I found with scrubs is that the Amazon GT Performance 4FLEX are the best I've ever owned. Light weight and breathable, jogger style(ma favorite since the cats like to try to hide in pant legs), drawstring waistband, 2 pocket top, 3 pocket pant, and super affordable. I paid $32 for a set, prime shipping and easy returns and loads of super cool colors. Totally worth it imo

Scrubs at a thrift store works too 😊 and leggings for under in winter..

I am hypermoblie. A natural doctor/chiropractor told me. I didn’t know until my 40s! I had to bite the bullet and start strength training to support my joints. I still have pain, but it’s way way less. I take supplements to sleep at night… that’s healing too. Sleep helps with healing. You should see a naturopathic doctor or functional medicine doctor. They will dig deeper and give you more solutions. That’s going to help a lot. Sauna plus icing after helps too. You can DIY a home sauna supper easy. I relate to hate being cold and always being cold… but ice helps 🥶 keep going even when it’s hard!

Regarding sleeping better...I got the least expensive sleep number bed. I can adjust it to my nightly needs but the real game changer was getting a weighted blanket. Ahhhhh. Wonderful. Don't ask me why but perhaps because the pressure keeps things in place? It's wonderful.

Girl I have this too!!! Constant pain girlies unite!! (I will always be affected by it too xxx) I always struggle to find people talking about the pain of JHS bcs everyone focuses on the extremes of H-EDS... which is good to be talked about but just because I haven't dislocated anything doesn't mean sometimes I struggle to walk and stand just because of the pain :D

I hope someone explained to the little girl that the cat didn’t mean any harm😢 and that it was in a traumatized state and probably in sooo much pain and that’s why it reacted the way it did. It would be so heartbreaking as a child for the last memory of my cat to be of it attacking me.

Girl, he got you good. I've been bit a few times and had the same sort of bit happen. I was lucky that I had pretty quick reflexes. It was my uncles German Shepard. He was diagnosed schizophrenic or something to that affect. He would get triggered randomly, but I had never had problems with him dog sitting. Well, one day, we were playing, and he had his front legs on the couch, and the toy was next to him on the couch. I walked up beside him and reached down to pick it up, so my head was level with his. I felt his weight shift and jerked my head back, but his teeth raked down my face. They were deep scratches, but bo stitches needed. After he lounged, I didn't freak out. I calmly led him outside. He didn't show a single sign of aggression, but I digress. He wasn't a bad dog, just badly bred with odd qurks. Lol he wasn't the first animal to bite me either. I've been bit by dogs, cats, rodents, birds and a horse. The horse one was pretty funny, I learned that horses have a jealous streak. I think I still have the scar on my shoulder. I was feeding some horses as a kid. There were five or so horses lined up getting some grass from me. I'll never forget this horses name, Star. I was stretched through the middle of the wooden fence and hanging over the water trough. I was reaching to give her some food when she grabbed my shoulder and dunked me about 5 or 6 times. Lol i felt like one of those birds on the water glass but in high speed. She let go and I wobbled off to my mom crying and soaked with a cut on my shoulder. She didn't mean any harm and I still gave her some grass later. Lol
