Tim Flagler is the owner of Tightline Productions, L.L.C., a video production company located in Hunterdon County, NJ. Although Tightline produces video programs over a wide range of topics, their speciality is fly fishing. Almost every week Tim produces a new detailed and up close fly tying or “how to” video. Many of the tying videos take the viewer well beyond just the tying of the fly and show what it looks like underwater, what natural it represents and how it can be fished. This video library includes how to tie dry fly patterns, emerger patterns, nymph patterns, salmon and steelhead patterns, saltwater, bass and streamer patterns as well as a variety of fly tying techniques.

Nice hair wings, properly sparse! 👍🏻
enough with this, more gnar surf vids
I stopped today at the home of the original creator of The Adams Fly . The Mill pond is there with a park so you can fish in it. I wasn't able to . maps.app.goo.gl/9Qvhyc6Yo3CVjKhW8
Very good tip, always something to learn
Tried it out on the Farmington last week. Worked great. Better than my other sulphur emergers.
Haven't been able to catch one of these live... Hopefully soon. Great flies guys! I love this format!
First video of yours I ever watched, but subbed immmediately because this is so helpful. Thank you.
Just thinking…. Maybe you could get Charlie Craven to guest tie occasionally. I think when you have 4 of the best tiers demonstrating techniques it would make a great show. You guys can do the competition thing, but most of the viewers that have interest in your skills and techniques would really enjoy it. I’m sure you guys will get your laughs in to keep it fun. Just a suggestion!
Behind our house the sediment has collected and it barely moves at all. I wonder how to get something like this started?
Definitely one of my favorite knots. Right up there with the uni.
I've been watching you for a long time and just tried your tip on tying parachutes with the hackle down and tying up . What a tip. Took a couple of times doing it and I just tied an 18 bwo like that and the trout love it. Thanks for all the great tips
Tim, thanks for all you do to be a big teacher in flytying. About tying with mono, for every reason you mentioned, It's good stuff. One problem I can't get away from though. It twists ridiculously while wrapping it, causing a fly to look sub par, but worse, it twists so bad it weakens the thread. Am I doing something wrong? PLEASE HELP!!
Love watching you guys. You should have your on comedy show on tv.
Great video. I always had some trouble with biots, this helped. Thanks
I love you guys. So much fun to watch.
The best way to open a clam is to open it backwards
Got to meet Tom last week at one of his presentations. Insanely nice to talk to and gave some really nice tips for improving your fishing.
Think this would work in a tube fly configuration? Just tied up a few in a tube fly style and I think they might be money!
Excellence, excellence, excellence !!! Will be tying 6-7 this afternoon. Thanks 😁
Well Tyd!!! Tight lines🐛🐜🕷️!!!!!
Thanks 🎉 Y’ALL !!!!! So Much Appreciated ……. Always Enjoyable 🥳☀️💫 Keep the content coming please. 🌟🎣💫
I keep a little Minnie picture of Tom attached to my sling pouch for good luck when I'm fishing 🎣. It sparks alot of conversation 😂
I do not have facebook, for personal reasons, but I would love to participate in this community. Is there any other platform I can join to watch these tie offs live?
Tups Indispensable
I vote Cheech this time. Tom almost had me but he put on too much hackle down that great body.
I can't tell you how exciting it was to see Cheech on here. And then, we are tying this pisser (literally) of a fly. ;) Great choice Tom!
You guys are the ones that kinda are getting me back into tying. I read a tad bit here and there about you guys and I honestly feel more confident and gets me away from that procrastination that I’ve had for years and I can’t count how many fish I’ve missed to catch or more importantly the time could have spent on the water. Not you to blame at all, you’re such a help in my health right now, I’m coming close to wanting to get out for about a week. That would be a neat thing with my kids, they know nothing about this so it will be that much better!! Thank you guy’s for the influence and push I thought I would never need but as I know I need the influence I’m happy it’s in fly fishing.
I agree with Cheech, I am a 4XLT and can not buy from Orvis!
Fun show. As for competing, I'm surprised they showed up. Hands down Tom...you da beast.
Modern shepherds still use red die called a raddle a wax crayon attached to the rams with a harness. BTW Tupps is an old English term for a ram and tupping is the act that the ram perform on the ewe a special hug.
This may be the best thing on CZcams. I really enjoy watching and listening to y’all. So glad this cam about keep it up☕️☕️
What materials can I use if I don't have macfly foam
Thick chenille.
Very enjoyable guys 👌👌👌
Never a loser when it comes to you three guys!!! Thanks for all the time you all put into these monthly videos. They are one of my favorites!
Lmao
If Tom cut on hackle wraps, he would be a clear winner ...
Idk why but these work so good 😮
As usual, absolutely brilliant! I hung in as long as possible, but had to run to a preexisting appointment before voting was allowed. While I thought Flagler's dubbing was better, the hackle felt sparse to me so I would have voted for Cheech also. But it is always so educational, I live for these events!
Always fun! Thanks Guys.
So Tim (@tightlinevideo), is that why I didn't catch anything while we were out during the sulphur hatch??? Too much head cement on my fly??? 🤣
Next up: fly number 246 from "Favorite Flies and their histories" by Mary Orvis Marbury
That's what I was thinking! It's a "Griffith's Tup's Indispensible." 😂
I missed the live. I wish you guys did these weekly instead of monthly. Heck, I would watch this daily.
It was a fun one guys Thanks keep them coming
Tim, What dubbing box is that Also great tying all 3 of you Love these get togethers
It’s a relatively new one. It’s from Fulling Mill.
Great tutorial. I'm going to teach my nephew to tie a bunch of these
This fly is incredible on spring creeks. If you go to Silver Creek armed with one fly this would be the one
These videos are so clear and easy to follow. I really appreciate it as I'm new to the hobby!
Very nice! Tight lines🕷️🐜🐛!!!!
Love this fly, the picky fish on the West Branch Delaware love it too :)
