Why do I play pyro 1: burning is fun, always enjoy a flame thrower in games like this 2: I love his character, it’s not just his playstyle I like I also love the character

Updated info on airblasts: since TF2 transition from 32 bit to 64 bit, pyro's airblast in not a cube but a cone.

I've been playing this game since 2017 and it took me till today you realise you can manually detonate the detonater, how am i this dumb?

I¿m new and i didn't know about the passive reload, plus, i was confused because quick comboing wasn't working for me, but with how you explained it and using Q instead of manually picking plus the very important detail of keeping left click pressed throughout (it really isn't obvious for someone who doesn't already feel familiar in tf2 and it's pretty specific to this game, as simple of a detail as it may seem), it worked for me, thank you! and thanks for the training bit

one reason to use stock over degreaser as a reflect heavy pyro is people just don't expect you to reflect cause it's not the sweaty weapon. this gets me a few extra kills each game but im not gonna lie, i exclusively use stock cause i like its model more lol

As a spy main, i started playing pyro as self harmful experience and to learn how to avoid my counter (you can not avoid it, just hope he doesn’t press M1 when you’re in front of him)

When I first started playing tf2 (2011 or so) I assumed that when you airblast that is a burst of some flammable gas from your flamethrower, so I would light people on fire and then spam right click thinking it makes the flames do more damage. Good times.

And then there's Anthid, who does insane combo stuff with stock and it honestly blew my mind, bearing in mind that I stopped playing before Tough Break and didn't return until the dark ages after Jungle Inferno. Honestly I'm kind of torn on either, the fact that you can still do combo on stock is very appealing, however you do make a good case for degreaser's switch speed giving you better reaction times.

In my opinion, the degreaser is far better then the Stock for a couple reasons: 1. If your combo'ing properly, you won't have to rely on afterburn damage to finish the job. A lot of combo's, like Degreaser + Panic Attack or Degreaser + Most Flare Guns, deal very high damage, making it very easy to kill most classes (with the exception of Heavy) if you line up your shots correctly. However, it does take a good bit of skill to do, so newer players would likely be better off with Stock. Experienced Players though can have a field day though, whooping the enemy team. 2. As long as you are careful with your Airblasts, the measly 2 missing airblasts you get from the degreaser can be entirely ignored by A. Just having an Engineer on your team. Or B. Playing around Ammo Packs more. Again, this is for mostly experienced players, but if you have an Engineer on the team, who will most likely place the dispenser in a easy to reach area not far from your team, its almost nonexistent.

I recommend teaching yourself to react based off of sound when going against the faster rockets and grenades. Your hearing reacts faster than your vision

I get that its fun and a skill expresion, but i just dont see whats the point of using the combo play style over the others, like you can delete light classes now but you can already do that with defensive or ofensive weapons Its putting too much into killing one light class Or idk maybe im just lazy and bad
