Appreciate the effort, but the sped-up videography makes the actual information almost unretrievable. (ie, can't see what you're doing).
I slowed the video down to 25% and was able to see what he was doing. The original speed up videography and the music made it difficult to retrieve the information for sure. Its a good one time fix but the problem is the physical retention of the new pin when you have to pull out the tube....

I don't get it. The customer wanted individual mounts to isolate the vibration of one string from all the others, eg to minimize sympathetic vibration. Yet you have connected all the mounts on the back with that brass plate? There again, maybe the customer simply didn't like the gold bridge. Nice job though.

Which schematic were you using? Something from ampgarage? It doesn’t sound like any of the dumble models I’ve played or heard? Your work is nice and clean though

I use these now. I use to use Sprague. These are a bit cheaper. Modern capacitors are labeled as 4.7uf instead of 5.

Is there an alternative to using Naptha to remove the Vaseline?
Are you having trouble finding Naptha? Camping fuel is the same thing or the zippo lighter fluid.
@@ChesapeakeRepair No, I was just wondering if there was another solution you could use like isopropyl alcohol. Thanks for the great video by the way.
@@jennC8797 the problem with alcohol, acetone, lacquer thinner, it will all harm finish. So yes alcohol will work but you can’t get it on Lacquer finishes. If you have a catalyzed finish like Poly then yes you can use alcohol.
What about rosewood fret board?
@@jennC8797 it doesn’t matter on rosewood, except if you slip and get some of the finish.

Didn't know these things could be repaired. What's the cost comparison for repair vs replace? I'd imagine only the high end ones get repaired.
Very repairable. In this case about an hours worth of labor to do a good job. I’ll replace all the caps on that board that you see as those caps are prone to failure.

You now have 100% of the heater current flowing through the skinny pilot light wires. Should have landed the wires from the power tranny to the 1st tube socket.

My '93 Blues DeLuxe needs some serious help...
I have a Fender amp and I see that one of the resistors is burned. The lines on it are cooked and there are no other identifing markers. How can I find out the replacement part that I need? Thanks
Find a schematic and determine which value it is. If you can’t find a schematic you’ll have to trace the resistor and understand its function to determine what value is needed.

Great job dude! I'm shocked for the cleaning wirings, I'ts very good to see. My HRD needs that work, but there isn't technician near to me and seems to be an hard work for a newbe!

If a 100ohm resistor is blown in my car amplifier. Will it affect the sound output?

What did you use for the shielded input cable? Would Mogami patch cable work?
Sad the crap speaker isn’t changes out so you can actually hear the complexities of the amp.
My biggest thing is single core wire.. it gives me the shivers. If it breaks then that's it for the conductivity. With multi core you are unlikely to break every strand at one point and so it's a safety net... This stuff does happen out there and if it's your bias supply then heaven help you. There's good iron in those devilles. I'd be more a straight bassman or marshall out of them but that's just taste. And those connectors with the screws... Please no! Tidy job though!

The original fender design with the tube sockets on a circuit board with all the heat rising is just ASS. The engineering team should have done better than that garbage! Your flying lead approach to the tube sockets is credible!!
