Fixing an Ampeg Molex connector

  • People do some wild things trying to fix these connections. This is how simple it is.
    Remove the pin
    Crimp and solder a new pin to the wire
    Push it back in.
    Done

    Servicing my Ampeg right now and that exact same wire just broke in my 12 pin connector, thanks for this video!

    I absolutely hate Molex connectors. I build computers occasionally and they're the worst. Thankfully, they're also steadily disappearing in newer systems. I know in older amps you don't have much of a choice though. You do really good work.

    Hey There Luke.....I appreciate all the content you're putting out. Always informative. I was wondering if you have any videos or jobs you'll be recording to add an external speaker jack to a combo. I'm looking to add an external speaker jack to my Fender Pro Junior so I can run a 12" or 2x10 while shutting off the speaker in the cab. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks....jimmy.
