The Execution Of Henry VIII's Abbot Of Glastonbury Abbey
During the reign of King Henry VIII, there were roughly 70,000 people who were executed in England and many were condemned due to the King's religious changes. Richard Whiting was the Abbot of Glastonbury Abbey and he was a powerful man inside of England's religion but Henry VIII attacked the monasteries and dissolved the monasteries. He targeted Glastonbury Abbey and arrested Richard Whiting who was then executed in his late 70s. But he was subjected to a harrowing execution, where he was hanged, drawn and quartered and his head was then placed on a pike high above his former Abbey. It was a harrowing and humiliating execution for an elderly peaceful man who did little wrong.

How easily folks were recently divided in 2020...even dividing families over who had and who had not chosen to allow the govt to control certain health choices. When my Dad was in the United States Air Force he had to go to a training camp that was a pretend POW camp. They put him in a box where he couldn’t stand and couldn’t sit. He was claustrophobic and wouldn’t go in even though 4 men (according to him) tried to make him. The authorities told him that he’d have to stop flying if he didn’t go in the box. He loved flying more than anything in the world. He wouldn’t go in and he had to stop flying. He left the Air Force soon after that.
