There are no facts that Safevid is iranian. I want to talk about it. First Shah Ismail Khatai was Azerbaijani Turk. Proving it with his family: Ismail's father was Shekh Heydar who was Azerbaijani. Mother was daughter of Uzun Hasan who was Agqoyunlu padshah. Padshah is name like king. Second Shah İsmail made Azerbaijani turkish language in Safevi country. And he wrote some poems in Azerbaijani language. That is why he called Khatai. Third Safevid dynasty was shia muslim since XIII century. You can think Iran is also shia. But there is a reason for it. Shah Ismail made them be shia muslim.
