Please don’t use the 4K version of Lord of the Rings for your essays. It’s ruining the original material
14:46 - That's how the Toreador feel.
Just a quick note, she’s not immortal elves just have a long life span !
You should have caveated that you don’t consider ATLA to be an anime. Although it’s technically not an anime, it is also the best anime ever made…so there’s that.
Of course the only evil doctor was Barty Crouch Jr.
the fact that Dragon Ball did more justice to resurrecting Frieza than Star Wars to do so on Palpatine is astounding
If there is a good red herring explanation to the "cold fire" thing, it could be that cold fire isn't related to evil at all, it's related to the Maia, which Sauron and the Stranger both are
Now I dare you to watch(or read) Berserk🗿🗿🗿
0:21 - If you want to be employed at all, nowadays.
So he uses Reverse Cursed Technique 🤔
Knowing that he doesn't watch so much anime and that he likes Frieren it's hard to say what he would also enjoy. It's really difficult to find anime that have good worldbuilding and story without havibg so much anime bs that in my eyes drags down a story. To give an example Fire Force would be way way more talked about if the focus that it gets on fanservive would be put into the rest of the anime. For that maybe he would like 'delicious in Dungeon' or maybe something older but right now it feels hard to give a good advice for other anime.
I also fondly remember and wish for the return of the hot trash that was Terra Nova. Im with you buddy.
but his name is Anton, Pavlovich is his father name in mane slavic speaking tradition of naming 🥲
what happened man? xd
I liked the death and resurrection of Luz in TOH, because it started with an act she’d only do because of the development she’d helped foster in Collector, and the resurrection happened because of her just being her kind self to King, it was a thanks and attempt to attone for what the Titan did to Collector.
No and no.
Kinda late but please check out Vinland Saga
I love this video, and find it really helpful. Thank you. If you want to see a death that is handled in one of the best ways, please, watch Buffy. NO SPOILERS HERE. Not every death is handled well in the show, but most are. I won't go into detail, but when you see them, you'll know them. There are a lot of reasons the show is studied in universities even now, and the way the show handles death is only one of them. One of them actually helped me, and many others who watched the show, process the death of a friend or a loved one.
To be clear I HATE the Star Wars sequels for many reasons, but: -Palpatine talking about cloning, him striving after -Darth Plagus’ ability to bring people back from the dead (even tempting Vader with it) Was foreshadowing but it was poorly executed, poorly explained and took away from the movies before it because there was no real overarching theme in the sequels
You’ve got me thinking- what if you take someone who lived a life that was so normal it was lifeless- but when resurrected - realized there was nothing to lose or fear, so had an astronomically better life the 2nd time around Then the “death” isn’t symbolic of actual death but instead a realization
In the wingfeather saga the dog nugget dies and then hw gets brought back but then the dog dies again. It makes the reader think thell bring him back again but the potion they used to resurrect him was used on thwir grandpa becoming a heart wrenching death of the good boy dog
This is the realest and truest yt video ive personally come across recently
No fułl video?😢
It's hard to ask for this when it increases the amount of details and cost of time, money, effort etc to any author or director would have to take to not only create a new world, but then an entire history and movement of people, culture, etc. This is an astronomical expectation which isn't sustainable to create and produce a book series and going into the real money maker, a show or movie trilogy. It's so risky to invest that effort without knowing it'll pay off down the line
FIRST FIFTEEN LIVES OF HARRY AUGUST MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🗣️ WTF IS A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH ANYONE 🗣️🗣️🗣️ jokes aside I'm so glad you brought up that book if for no other reason than more people should read it and the kalachakra are an incredible kind of resurrected being. That the only true deaths are oblivion - not remembering or not being born - is so poignant and really draws attention to the importance of the life you do end up living, over and over. If you'd want to forget your whole self or never exist in the first place, what kind of life brought you to that place? And since we can't be born again that way in reality, how will you change the way you life today? Great book, incredible writing, Harry August is a sad sorry bastid and I love him.
Incase you come to Berlin, there are some great asian restaurants all around the "Prenzlauer Berg" neighbourhood and "Volkspark Friedrichshain" is a beautiful, big Park with cafés, sportsfields and a big pond.
Hey! I dont know if you’re gonna be able to read this, but I just want to say, I was a huge fan some five(?) or so years ago. Life happened and I lost track of your channel, even forgot its name (screw adhd) so I couldnt search for it. But as an aspiring writer, I truly appreciated all the tips you gave in your older vids. I’m a professional film writer now. And today I found your channel again. I’m happy you’re still creating content. I’m happy life has been good to you (it seems). Thank you for guiding young me. Lots of love, man!

Dungeon Meshi or Delicious in Dungeon is a pretty good show with truly great choices in its world building. The manga is finished so there's already a neat bow wrapped around it while the first of two seasons of the anime is currently airing.
I got two Foundation books for free and read them. At least, I started them. I was surprised that it wasn't that good. The characters were wooden, as noted, but- this is more important to me- weren't that important. They might have thought they were influencing events, but they really weren't. It was a relief to give up on these books.
I watched it together with my girlfriend and... we are that couple that talks while we watch things. We know a bunch of stuff so it comes up a lot and it is fun to have something to inspire conversation topics, especialy if the anime itself is kinda mid... We watched Frieren in complete silence. Absolutely an experience. That being said, another one of that kind is "Apothocarry's diary" which is more slice of life mystery
Waiting on the japanese bots to claim this as CCP propaganda
Its not even fantasy, its mmorpg. Animation, music, editing and all that technical stuff is great, but dramaturgy, characters, worldbyilding is lazy.
Amber. From the Nine princes of Amber =\
I just finished watching jiu jitsu kaisen and then Dr stone and they both have unique storytelling elements so give it a watch please
Full metal alchemist brotherhood
Terra Nova was my CHILDHOOD
SPOILERS FOR THE HANDMAID'S TALE. I think that's one of the things I like about the show The Handmaid's Tale-it is a revolution story, and Offred (June) is the one who ends up slowly turning into it's primary architect. It starts off with the revolution already happening, and later, June not only takes part in it, but she takes over it. That said, one of the best things about the whole story in the show, for me, is something deeper, something which is actually a negative aspect of her character arc. As June becomes more and more a part of the revolution, and as she gains more and more allies and resources allowing her to become a more effective leader, she's also becoming colder, harsher, darker, and sometimes terrifying. The message is almost like the same thing that you were saying about Paul in Dune. As he gains more power, Paul actually becomes the tyrant he was trying to free others from. June is sort of going the same way in the later seasons. It's almost as if in order to free others from oppression, you have to become the oppressor. We ask the question, can you lead a society to freedom without becoming the exact thing you were trying to destroy? It's an exploration of the cost of leadership in an extreme situation. The whole concept is fascinating and terrifying, and I love it. Great video. Love your writing tips.
If you want an easy watch with deep philosophical and intricate story, I'd recommend One Piece.
Honestly, i loved log horizon because its such a different take on issekai. it spends so much time building the world and exploring the rules and their impact of just living in it. its a tad cheesy at times but perhaps my favorite issekai ever
What you say is 20 is more like 12.
I don't think it should be watching anime but simply watching a good story and for me it doesn't matter what medium it is portrait in but only that it is good.
Finally i have reason to not watch mushoku tensei. Dungeon meshi and frieren are such bangers.
Where can I watch this anime? Also. Is there any English dub of this serie?
I've been loving Frieren so much. It's pretty amazing and the story is incredibly original in how it embraces the mundane. Love it. Watch Mob 100 next, I have a feeling you'll like it 😉
"One of the longest videos I ever made, at 2200 words!" Oh, Tim, if only you could've predicted.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood if you haven't already. Another one I'd recommend is Robotics Notes.
