I live in South of Sweden, barley snow. Not often icy roads. Looks like I'm going for a All Season tire for the first time on my daily driver. Conti it is.

mine started cracking (dry rot) after about 3 years with minimal driving, i dont use any products on my tires either , i found this video looking to see if Rotalla s were bad or if i was just unlucky

The dws 06 is the best i ever use i left 4 wheel drive trucks in the dust. In summer they hook big time and cornering is like on rails on my audi s6 v10 i love these.

The fact that Fronway named their product that looks like "Frowning As Sh*t" and its performance really reflects this is absolutely hilarious.

Some of this video & lots of comments rings very true with my experience. We bought a Kia Xceed PHEV in Oct 21. It came with Continental Conti sport 5. They were done before 11k miles. It never felt nice with them on. Just too soft & vague on our Kia. Maybe the front end is too heavy for the tyres. Now got all season tyres on. What a difference. Never had a car so transformed by different tyres to be honest.

My focus on tire purchase is stopping distance, especially wet grip. Fvck the low rolling resistance numbers, I need my car to corner fast and safely stop.

My Blizzak WS90 are getting a bit thin in the skin after 4 winters. I don't know if I should buy another set or try the Michelin Pilot Alpine's. I passed a lot of people that were in the ditch, spun out or just plain stuck.

I got the 3+ a few years ago and that weekend it dumped 3' of snow, had no issue getting around, but then again they were new.

Did I miss you stating the tire size you were reviewing here?

Thanks for the detailed review. Dunlop Sport All Season is sold as Goodyear Eagle Sport 4Seasons in some markets. and tire shops can install it upside down. Users should be careful. Tire manufacturers should be more careful about the directions. The signs are very important.

I've got the cup 2s on my e46 m3 and the 4S on my e92 M3 manual and the difference is the cup 2s suit the lighter E46 M3 and the 4S feel much better on the heavier e92 V8 and the only thing between them in the real world is the 4S last longer

I've also heard that the traction control systems are also tuned to the OE tire and using another tread pattern can cause issues with the traction control system

Buy the cheapest tyres and when it rains pull over for a rest. 😅

So thorough. As regards the Michelins vs the Goodyears. Having had 3 cars in a row each with similar weight, power, wheel size, and each well over 700Nms, F1’s on 2, PS4s on the middle car, the F1’s have the edge for hooking up. They definitely have more feel than the PS4s too, though are very slightly less progressive at and beyond the limit (On track of course. Promise.) Both epic for modern high powered cars, all year round. (Had Corsa’s on one at first, and I know they aren’t in this test, but are very much a one trick pony, lethal when cold, wet or greasy) Also, I find the F1’s are more durable on track, and cope with the constant high temperatures, lap after lap. The trade off is fractionally less comfort on the road. Fractionally.

Fake test, pilot sport the best

We have had the michelin CC (og, +, 2) on the family car and are very happy. But i need to buy tyres for my personal car (that will most probably be sold in 6-12 months). I do not want to pay too much money for a car that has a value of 2k$ and also dont want crap tyres. From the 2023 review the Hankook kinergy 4s 2 was an amazing value for money and it came very close to the michelins in overall (obviously not snow, but the rest). For some reason it was not included in this test (i do understand not all the tyres can be included...) Given all the new additions that performed so well, what would be the most vfm recommendation? Would it still be the hankook? I want to get good (enough) tyres. (i have been running some shitty tyres, so it will be an upgrade any way)

The Falken Azenis 460 is such a stellar tire. I have them on my GTI. They offer such good performance, I decided to sell my summer tire set and stick with them year round.

michelin never disappointed me so far. had a few cars whith different tires to start with. always changed to ps4 and was never disappointed at all. will surely be the same next time i go for a ps5

i think the spring rate on that road car cant really take all the advantage of the slick tires has to give im sure alot of performance is left on the table.

R888R is available in sizes for my lotus elise. A lot of tire companies are only making tires in 17" and up. If they do make a smaller size, they'll make a 15" and skip 16" completely.

As always very informative and interesting tests. For better readying and not jumping back and forth between WET and DRY, i would like to see the sheets overlayd. WET maybe blue colored and dry red. What do u think?

look forward to your views on the Ultrac Pro. My F1 6s have 6mm on the front after 8000miles and I just can't get rid of steering wobble. rebalanced, alignment done, new track rods and rod ends even fitted. Next step is to swap front to back and see if that cures it.
