why does my hand not go on the position i want the first time i grab the gun but when i grab it again with the same hand the second time it works fine?

I think you can add probes right beside the shadows to improve the transition
Great tutorial, thanks a lot ! For those experiencing the issue where the first grab is not assigned to the proper location, it might be due to a newer version of XR Interactable. You need to switch the attach point compatibility mode from 'Default' to 'Legacy'.
can you help me i cant find the component XR controller (action-base) at around 5 mins in the vid
@@Landenkirby-FR well check the version, because they have changed a lots of stuff in the last few months. Then you can downgrade it. I haven’t experimented with the new one yet unfortunately.

When I use Shadow Mask Distance mode and use Cascades, how does this affect the baking?
As much as I know it’s only applies to realtime lighting. You can set the quality of the bake on an object with the scale in lightmap in the mesh renderer individually.

Up until downloading training dummies is when it started going downhill for me. Training dummies immediately dies when game starts and platform doesn't activates when player steps on it..
Well I think you missed the step where I set the animation speed to -1 so it plays backwards.

Thank you for this very helpful tutorial! I am working on creating a hinge for the hood of a vehicle and I am still having problems so I might have to start over from scratch and follow your tutorial as there are currently so many components that might be interfering with the hinge and interactables.
No problem. You might want to consider to put the door and the vehicle's other components on a different layer for example the door to the Door layer and the other components to a Body layer and in the physics setting just disable the interaction between the Body and the Door. This way you don't need to modify any colliders, it will just simply ignore eachother.
The ep. 8 was a little bit rushed but overall whole series was very very informative and easy to understand. Thank you and keep up good work!

Great tutorials! But I must say that your code in OnSelectEntered works unstable enough. It is better to move it into OnSelectEntering override :)
Very Interesting, thank you... I'm making a space game and the shadows gets a bit better but having a sun that cast shadows at 5000 units of distance I guess it's impossible 😕
I think you could fake it by using multiple light sources, but that would hit the performance significantly.
@@gamedevblueprint I'm trying to make a light that orbits around the cockpit but that still in the same direction of the song, but it's tricky to do 😅

Hello! I need your help. I have a problem with your VR hands package. The hand material doesn't load in for the hands and it shows a purple placeholder material for the hands. The hands also don't animate and it only shows the hands on one of the eyes of the VR headset. I am using a HP Reverb G2 and not an Oculus headset. Is it because I dont have an Oculus that the Oculus hands don't work when I play the VR project?
Well first if it’s a purple placeholder it can be due to the render pipeline differences, you can convert it I show that in the video. Animation wise it’s needs to be set up but I also show that in the video. I think the render pipeline conversion will solve the other issues.

Can you make a video on how to use the Slider, for example to change the XR Origin movement speed? You already showed how to use DropDown but it would be great if you could show an example for slider also in that certain scenario! I tried using: [SerializeField] private ActionBasedContinuousMoveProvider.MoveSpeed moveSpeed; and it says move speed doesn't exist. What is the correct syntax to read a move speed value of ContinuousMoveProvider(Action-based)?

Hi I wanted to ask you a question: When I go on Game Mode my screen doesn't move and I can't see the VR Hands. I created the project 2 times and it's the same. How can I fix this?
huh there could be multiple reasons, if you followed the tutorial the only thing comes into my mind is if you use Meta Quest then you have to open the Oculus app on the computer and then launch Unity.
