Hi Jennifer, you’re not bugging me! I don’t remember the exact colors I used as it was so long ago but I’ll copy and paste my response from a similar question below. I want to do an updated video of this with more detailed instructions soon. Here’s what I said to another viewer. Thanks for watching! The colors I use change depending on my reference photo. But my most used colors are burnt umber, ultramarine blue, burnt sienna, yellow ochre, cerulean blue, cadmium yellow medium, and titanium white. In this particular painting I also used a tiny bit of alizarin crimson mixed in with the blue and white to paint the sclera, but normally the whites of the eyes on dogs aren’t visible, especially from a distance. Also I’m pretty sure the lower reflection is cadmium yellow. But if you choose not to use cadmium containing paint, hansa yellow or lemon yellow would work as well. I hope this helps!

Thank you Alai! I didn’t have a lot of watercolor experience so I forced myself to paint every day for a month. I feel like I’m still learning but they are sooooo fun. They’re so different from painting with oils. I had to keep reminding myself to start with the light colors first

I am working in acrylics doing my first Labrador painting. I am primarily a watercolorist but acrylics seemed best for a black dog and the many shades. My question is do you use a medium with acrylics to thin them so they flow better off your brush or just water?

Yes, just a slight of hand. Attempting to make it look like smooshing some paint together and making a wish creates a beetle 😄 It’s 2 clips merged at the same point. Just being silly. Thank you!! @@ArtbyLysa I love love absolutely love how you used the blue and purple to paint him yet he looks so realistic.... this is what I have been searching for to learn. Not sure if you know the artist Iris Scott who paints gorgeous dogs shaking off water. My favorite is one named Salvador - she uses over 100 colors to paint the fur yet when you look from far away you can tell that the German Shepherd is brown. Thank you for posting this video; I will watch it again in a slower motion. Absolutely stunning! 💕💕💕
