If you know Vietnam, we are not Korea. North Vietnam in this timeline would be slightly stronger because Korea would be on our side. And Vietnam's strategic location and will to unify is different from Korea anyways. If Korea can unify, then so can we. That's why the Vietnam War lasted for 20 years while the Korean War lasted only 3 (technically it's still going on, but they only fight for 3 years).

A good analysis, but the difference in this is that the US will behave like it did in Korea rather than like it did in Vietnam in otl, that means they'd be a lot more direct and go in with a lot more force. But indeed, Vietnam is not Korea.

@@patrioticbritishmapper8352 I think even if the US tried harder, the war would only drag on for longer rather than ending in a stalemate. North Vietnam sees the war as a long-term war so they eventually would find a way to fight the US for longer, just like how we fought the French and the Chinese. Also, the people were pretty tired of the last time we were divided (175 years from 1627-1802) and foreign intervention anyways.

I live in Cape Town and South African. A british man campaigning for the western cape to be independent from south africa, that is some 21st century colonization right there. Let me give you a heads up, if you do not have a military and are willing to kill and take over the province, this is just a pipe dream, we have a military and you are just a white separatist group who wants to split south africa on racial lines, we all know why you chose the western cape for this, not the eastern cape, kzn or limpopo, but specifically the western cape cause you know that a lot of WHITE people live here, that is it. So yeah, your non-racial rhetoric is bullshit, this is based on racism period and you are hoping the coloureds, who are now also wanting their own coloured independent country as the western cape, who want all xhosas to leave are also most likely being sponsored by that british guy who is leading this.. Like, britain is being overwhelmed by muslims at this point and there are riots, they cannot even take over their own country and have basically given up, so are deciding to go to another country and try to "ask nicely" for the western cape to be theirs, a whites only province. Good god!! Again, if you do not have a military and are not willing to die for this, this is just childish and just embarrassing, if you think good will, will get you land, ask how that went for the american natives and even our own black people in the 1700's it went when whites took over through war and killings, if you not willing to do that, then this is just stupid, or maybe its just a racist therapy group just to feel good about yourselves.

@@patrioticbritishmapper8352 it would be like republics of Russia Before Europeans arrived, the Xhosa lived peacefully with Abathembu Kingdom, Mpondomise Kingdom, Amaqwathi Kingdom, AmaXesibe Chiefdom( Descendents of Khoisans) and amaMpondo Kingdom. All those kingdoms were unified by the Xhosa Language except Mpondo Kingdom, they have their own language called isiMpondo which is today becoming extinct due to it not being taught in schools as it is not recognized, More thand 70% of Mpondo natives don't understand their language as 100% of them understand isiXhosa language The Mpondo have their own dialect which is heavily influenced by xhosa grammar and accent) The amaBhaca people came to the Inkonyane Regiment due to escaping from Shaka Zulu who wanted to take over their land in the KwaZulu region, instead uniting with the Zulu the amaBhaca fled as their were linguistically and culturally different from the Zulu and fled south west towards the Xhosa region and met with Mpondomise Kingdom and amaQwathi Kingdom and a war broke out. King of AmaMpondomise sent some of his men to let King Hintsa hear about the incident as he had the largest military in the Inkonyane region to help fight the amaBhaca, then King Hintsa went to the land of AmaQwathi with his amaButho(military) to fight the amaBhaca. When he got there he was able to stop the fight and was informed that the amaBhaca King killed young men who were in initiation school(who were getting circumcised to become men) of which was a first in the region for young men in initiation school to be killed so the AmaBhaca King was killed and AmaBhaca followers were given land in to settle in which where their King was buried in a Town now called kwaBhaca( which means the land of Bhaca people) The Bhaca speak their own language which is related to Swati Language from eSwatini But bhaca language is known buy less than 20% of Bhaca people and all of Bhaca people is speak isiXhosa fluently as it was the language of trade in the area and its a Language taught in schools The Xhosa region also has Abesuthu which come from the first Migration of Basotho people in the Xhosa region, they now speak and practice Xhosa culture, tradition and language. The second migration of Basotho people resulted in people who are called AmaHlubi, they speak isiXhosa but have a different Culture and tradition. They don't have a specific region as it is not clear who their King is, but are mostly found regions which were under Mpondomise Kingdom and KwaBhaca region Another migration of people at the beginning of Colonialism was the Khoisan people who were known as AmaGqunukhwebe in The Xhosa language they inhabited the coastal region of which is now the coastal town of East London The Inkonyane Regiment under King Hintsa and his predecessors was a peaceful Kingdom as each Kingdom was allowed autonomous dependence but the other Kingdom used to have disputes and the The Xhosa kings would be called to resolved the issues. All people who came to live along Xhosa speaking people were giving autonomous independence even though some adopted Xhosa language and culture The Xhosa were found in regions of what is now towns called KuGatyane, Idutywa, eCofimvaba, kuCentane, eGcuwa, eQoboqobo, Gqeberha and etc Before Colonialism

I think one thing that is not mentioned but is important is that the collapse of the USSR would have happened earlier, 1985, even in 1980, as ROC together with US would be jointly working on that. And having ROC as a neighbor, Russia would have become a liberal democracy after its fall, and also with a ROC in need of cheap natural resources to feed its industries Russia would become a second Saudi Arabia but multiplied by 10, with several "Nord Stream" between Russia and China within a few years. This would reshape the world geopolitical scenario of the 21st century incredibly....

Where Greece is concerned the scenario is realistic. At the end of the first Balkan war, Greece had seized Thessaloniki but wasn't interested in making advances to the east, so if Bulgaria hadn't waged a war to get Greek Macedonia, the border would be near Thessaloniki. After all, that's the area where Greek speaking/at heart populations were to be found. To the east, the Muslim element was predominant. Greece had set their sights on Smyrna and would have tried to incorporate as much of Asia minor to establish Greek refugees and create a Greek majority area.

The idea of a world where Rhodesia managed to keep a large white immigration through its longer survival and South African support, developing its black population bus lowering their population growth and increasing their wealth as they become more equals, all leading to a very powerful and thriving Rhodesia. Meanwhile Botswana does substantially better than even our timeline as it’s surrounded by well off allies and able to have developed white and black immigration for the past 50 years. As the provinces of Angola and Mozambique remain with Portugal and either transition gradually into free states or stay as progressively more equal and core pieces to Portugal as a country. Regardless, being far better off with great development. And South Africa is initially ruled by the Anglo rather than Dutch descended whites and thus goes down this videos path of gradually increased equality, greater development, stability, leading a string alliance within the western world, being commonwealth and likely a 6th member of the 5 eyes and included in the idea of canzuk. Where immigration has allowed the white population to likely sit at 22-27% of the population depending how well their industry and economy were doing compared to alternatives like Britain at bad points. But also where multiracial families are openly accepted in most of the country and races had a higher rate of living, working and receiving education together, thus allowing the coloured population be be easily 10-12% or higher by the 2020’s. And where educational no development has allowed much of the black populations to have far lower birth rates and subsequent even faster rates of development, possibly lowering them to as low as 60% of the population by now. This truly would be a wildly better world, have a substantial new zone within the west.where the demographics of Rhodesia and South Africa would be increadibly interesting and definitely be places to travel across to experience all their different forms. Just imagine if this eventually did become a world with the CANZUK union, and got established let’s say in 2025, becoming a far more federalised and United force by 2035, I could absolutely see this South Africa joining the union before 2028, with Rhodesia and Botswana potentially joining by 2032 if that was accepted by the other members. Meaning that if this alternative universe did see a canzuk union in the near future, it would be far less Anglo majority, but likely more practical as it’s suddenly more connected via Africa and could become a serious superpower if it further unified. It would definitely be an interesting federation, possibly trending towards including more ex colonies such as Ireland and parts of east Africa depending how relations go and how some may have differed from our time. One small possibility is that with the South Africans being so radical, and their far more tame racial laws and gradual changes approach, along with flourishing under a preferred European immigration system, Australia may never abandon the white Australia policy. Not feeling the need to distance itself from South Africa, but instead being a close ally. As such white australia likely shifted to developed nations and close allies getting preference, and keeping a limit on annual immigrants from nations outside a select list. Meaning that ironically while this world may see a more diverse Southern Africa with greater equality laws and subsequently a future canzuk equivalent far more ethnically diverse than ours would be, the australia, another core member of that possible union and the commonwealth, is quite possibly still near 95% white and in several ways far less different from its 1970 self than South Africa is when each are compared to the real world equivalent. Certainty interesting to this just how many other domino effects this alternative South Africa could cause.

I get the impression that there'd probably still be a drought as in otl, and some level of water crisis but not to the level that it was in our world, largely due to the fact that there would be no uncooperative relationship between the provincial government and the local government like there was in our world, the fact that due to the Cape being a separate nation its unlikely that you'd have seen the large scale immigration from the Eastern Cape into Cape Town that happened in our world (the population of the city nearly doubled in 20 years in our world) and the fact that the Cape government in this timeline would almost certainly have very good relations with Israel, a country that is a world leader in water desalination.

Wouldn’t Britain and France maintain their Empires in this timeline to counter The sheer dominance and power of the Russian Empire?? Because if the Kaiser remains there wouldn’t be a certain Austrian painter who rises to power and neither does Benito in Italy so no WW2. Plus a slightly less devastating WW1 That means Britain and France wouldn’t be completely broke and still can have the strength to maintain their Empires. Also because if your going by the logic of the Russian Empire surviving to the modern day do you really believe a much stronger and less devastated Britain and France would simply just let their colonies go whilst Russia still keeps their own Empire??? No there’s absolutely zero percent chance of that happening there’s no way Britain and France would want to loose their power with Russia still this powerful. Britain France and Italy would lead a coalition of other Colonial nations like Portugal, Spain, Belgium, The Netherlands, and Denmark as a United force in order to maintain their empires perhaps Germany still looses Tanzania to Britain and Togo + parts of Cameroon to France, but maintains Cameroon reduced to 1910 borders and also still holds onto Namibia maybe also uniting with Austria and joining this European Imperial Coalition.

As a Chinese, I like neither the Communist Party nor the Kuomintang, but I hate the Kuomintang even more. After all, what good is a government that persecutes its people? We like communism, but we don't like the Communist Party, because the Communist Party uses capitalist means to develop communism and is not a qualified government.

So Mao killing 40 million people in the name of communism was fine then? (that had nothing to do with capitalism by the way)

What if China had adopted the cult of Makima, Revy, Cutie Honey, Marin Kitagawa, Trixie Tang, Judy Neutron, Marge Simpson, Wendy Corduroy, Lois Griffin, Sailor Moon and Maddie Fenton instead of Abrahamic and Dharmic shit?
