    One of your best videos, but here are some corrections:
    1)Bulgaria -> From Serbia they would be guaranteed not only pre Second Balkan war Macedonian borders, but actually also the whole Undisputed zone of Macedonia(from Kriva Palanka to Ochrid), which was promised to Bulgaria to get after the First Balkan war, but because Serbia didnt get their desired lands in Albania( Astria-Hungary be real nice), they didn't hold their end on the bargain with Bulgaria. I see also the Disputed zone being rewarded to Bulgaria AFTER the war scince Serbia recived more lands than it was promised by the Entante in 1915.
    2)Hungary -> Southern Slovakia and Hungarian majority border cities in Vojvodina and Transylvania remain in Hungary.
    3)Russia -> Whey will either get only Tsarigrad or the whole Marmar area. Forced by the Entante or internally to set up puppet/friendly governments in Poland and Finland, they also create Greater Armenia(possibly giving this new nation Russian held Armenian lands and autonomous Greek Pontus) and Kurdistan.
    4)Turkey -> They would fight only with Italy to retake lost lands, in this case for Southern Turkey, and they are succesfull.
    5)Balkan pact -> It is renewed as a Russian bloc, also including Hungary, but excluding Albania(Italian puppet).
    6)Austria -> They keep the german part of Southern Tyrol, but do not get Southern Sudetenland.

      Thanks, in the earlier videos I think I'd have gone all out and given a full answer, but nowadays I think its best to leave it up to everyone else to decide what happens next. Out of curiosity what do you think would be most likely to happen next?

      @@patrioticbritishmapper8352 I think there will be, like as you suggested, a nationalist takeover in what is left of Turkey, and some kind of radical movement in Germany - either nationalism like Turkey or perhaps communism - will gain popularity and likely take over. Either this or Germany develops to be more democratic, and becomes an ally of Britain and France. In the first scenario, a second world war will take place in which Germany and Turkey will be on their own side, with a few allies, and Russia and their allies will be on their own side, and Britain and France will be on their own side, so a three sided war. The latter scenario will probably see Germany, Britain and France at war with Russia, and maybe Turkey allies with Russia (I know, crazy) as it will be their only chance to reach their goals.

    You have a really great start to this video! I think the WW1 part is pretty realistic, and even mentioning the German revolution is something most alt-history people don't talk about, talking about how without the U.S. in WW1 would prevent some ideas of self-determination (I would say that I feel like this logic would be applied as where like Italy and the Western Slavic area). The 2nd great game is pretty realistic as well, but I think exploring the U.S.'s role in the new world order would be cool. There's only 2 real complaints, I would say. 1) I don't think really think Bulgaria would turn the tides of the Turkish independence war, and 2) this is one a lot of Alternate History people do, but just saying "Russia would be better without communism" isn't really true, Yes, the communist regime was awful, but looking at the flaws of the Russian Tsardom should also be taken into account.

    This is a great alternative history to explore, maybe do this with different nations of WW1 and 2 as well, for example if the Russians joined Germany for some reason (explain the history behind how that could work for example no breakdown of the German, Austrian Russian alliance) and if that would effect any other nations choosing a different side?

    When it comes to Constantinople, my logic is the United Kingdom would pull a fast one on Russia and, instead of just giving the city to them or Greece or Bulgaria, they make it a League of Nations-controlled Free City similar to Danzig; de jure sovereign, de facto a British protectorate, which would just piss everyone off.

    • @patrioticbritishmapper8352
      @patrioticbritishmapper8352  Před 9 měsíci +1

      That's entirely possible, though in this scenario I don't think the league of nations becomes a thing, though I could totally see something like that happening, perhaps as a "internationally run protectorate"

  • @evatsel
    @evatsel Před 20 dny

    Where Greece is concerned the scenario is realistic. At the end of the first Balkan war, Greece had seized Thessaloniki but wasn't interested in making advances to the east, so if Bulgaria hadn't waged a war to get Greek Macedonia, the border would be near Thessaloniki. After all, that's the area where Greek speaking/at heart populations were to be found. To the east, the Muslim element was predominant. Greece had set their sights on Smyrna and would have tried to incorporate as much of Asia minor to establish Greek refugees and create a Greek majority area.

    I think what’s incredibly likely is that Austria-Hungary still exists but smaller and Russia would be a constitutional monarchy. I think Austria-Hungary would still exist as the Tsar of Russia would want it to exist to not inspire their own people to rise up. I think Nicholas II would still be Tsar as people see that the war is getting close to victory which would lead to his popularity going up but it would still be so low that he’d have to give up some power.

      A good analysis overall and I do think the Habsburgs would retain control of either Austria or Hungary, but after having so much land ripped away, combined with the fact that the Hungarians probably aren't going to be happy to have lost so much after being dragged into a war that Austria wanted, I don't see the dual monarchy surviving, at least not in its pre-war form. As you said its possible the Tsar remains in power, in 1917 I'd even say its likely, though considering Nicholas II's track record, nothing is certain, especially in the long run.

    I think the Italian postwar position should have been looked at. If any major power would be willing to aid Hungary in their revanchist desires then it'll be Mussolini's Italy, who I think would still seize control and go on to project power in the Balkans while the Second Great Game is ongoing.

      Yeah, I expect his war against Greece to go even worse than in our timeline with Bulgaria now a clear Greek ally instead of their sworn enemy. Especially if this humbled German Empire survives the depression years and rejects his advances. At this point he'd have little choice but to court the British or Russians.

      The Entente here compensates Romania and Serbia with massive territorial annexations elsewhere. Ceding Southern Dobruja and half of Northern Macedonia is more than a fair ask when they're getting Transylvania and Bosnia/Croatia/Slovenia in exchange. Especially considering that Bulgaria saved both of them from capitulation by not joining the Austrians.
