First impressions of this doggy walker. This is the large version, but for two medium to small sized dogs, and with pulling habits, it worked great. No tangles, less pulling on the waist, great product.

How to wire a Les Paul guitar with a 5 Way Rotary Switch to Act Like a Strat
zhlédnutí 477Před 2 měsíci
I wanted a les paul with three humbucker pickups to have the same pickup positions as a strat - Neck, Neck Middle, Middle, Middle Bridge, and Bridge, but I also wanted three independent volume knobs and a master tone. All this without cutting into the body of the guitar, or using complex controls/switches. I wanted it to be easy and familiar to use. Was this too much to ask? So I spent weeks tr...

    Too bad the Line Out on the Fender is an XLR, since in most cases, I'd prefer a 1/4 inch since the other end would go into a DI Box, although I do have a PRO CO cable that has one of each on either end of its cable. I have a Crate Acoustic Amp, 30w, for a long time, but now is starting to act up on me. It was two distinct inputs, one clean, and one with FX, and a 1/4 in Line Out.

    I bought a Cream AC10 with a stock speaker and a Black one that came with a Creamback and JJ Tubes. Never have been fond of the tone of JJ's. TBit, the Cream AC10 with the stock speaker sounds warm, yet articulate. The Black AC10 just sounds too bright for my taste. I've compared them at home and at gigs. Anyway, I bought a used Vox VX10 stock speaker and will be changing out the Creamback.

    IC amps can be very sensitive to any output short circuits. I have accidentally ruined a few just because I was too rushed to test a repair and simply got sloppy with clips attached to speaker leads. At least they’re cheap and readily available

    Hello I have a crate gx-212c it doesn't have pots like this, but I can't figure out why it cuts in and out, and then the level knob makes it shoot to max volume if barely touched, and the dirty channel will get the volume right but won't have any of the crunch. Could I email you a video of my issue?

    • @peepkindoesstuff4066
      @peepkindoesstuff4066 Před 2 měsíci

      I’m guessing between very dirty pots or a soldering issue on the pcb. I had this happen before and the best thing to do is resolder the points on the pot and then clean it with some contact cleaner. If none of those work, find an amp with similar pots and replace them since crate doesn’t make those pots anymore

    I have to agree with what others have said. The main issue is the Pixco speed booster, which I am getting for my Takumar lenses, but more to shoot wide open or close to wide open. I find when I use this lens on a normal adaptor I don't have any of these issues, and that it is quite sharp across the frame.

    My big question is how do each of them do when the volume is turned up beyond 9 o'clock? At that setting neither unit is being pushed very hard. I play a Martin TK1 ukulele with a LR Boggs 5.0 pickup. I play with-out a pick. My Fender Acoustisonic 40 has the clearest tone I've found using 10, 12 and 2 o'clock on bass, mid, treble. But I need more through-put and the Fender starts sounding muddy before I get to 12 o'clock on volume. Wasn't enough to do a driveway gig in our neighborhood. I'm all in on a Fishman if the tone is as clear and if I can ramp up the overall volume without getting muddy. How does the tone sound with the volume at 12 o'clock or more? Any comments?

  • @danielpowers4787
    @danielpowers4787 Před 6 měsíci

    Good tip about the small size of the holes. I wired mine up and couldn’t get it to produce any output on any of the pickups. I think my mistake was letting some wires share a contact when connecting them to the freeway switch. For example, the nodes on the switch labeled NH, B, MH, and BT. You’re saying the wires AND the soldering material between the two holes cannot touch?? If so, my next step will be to remove all the wires, heat and remove the soldering material from the contacts, get out my magnifying glass, and start again lol

  • @TheWhiskeyCowboyLife

    This was truly an unfair comparison. You give a price range and then pick an amp at the bottom of it, and an amp at the top of it (being about twice the price as the lower one). To be fair you needed to compare a higher model of the Fender against the Fishman. The Fishman is great, but for the price the Fender 40 is (imo) amazing.

    Would a 12 inch Greenback fit in an AC10? I swapped a Greenback in another amp that came with the AC10 speaker(Celestion Seventy 80) and it definitely handles gain better. Cleans are pretty similar. Actually prefer the stock speaker in this video though.

      @rigosgarage5961 Před 8 měsíci

      Hello. If you are getting sound but it's just very low sound, yet still you can hear the guitar itself, then the problem might be in the Preamp Section, not the Power Supply section nor Output section. The filter caps are in Power Supply section, but most likely this is not your problem area. What you are experiencing may be due to poor connections in input jack, or dirty pots [wild guess here as I need more info]. A few questions to try to answer to yourself: Are the pots noisy when you turn them? Are the plugs not tight or noisy when you plug the guitar? What happens when you go through the effects loop directly? Do you get more volume? Is there any way you can try to give me more information on all the inputs and how they are before and after this 15 minute point?" Do the volume, eqs nobs still work and change the sound? In all, look at the Preamp Section deeper. Unfortunately, this is not an area I explored in this amp as my problem was elsewhere.

      I agree. I don't think you'll be happy with this guitar and might want to consider returning it. There are other, nicer guitars like M Muso, Leo Jayne and Dinner for the same or less money. I have a $129 Dinner that is nicer than a made-in-USA Tele I used to own. All I had to do was replace the ceramic pickups with Lenovo V, Wilkenson in the bridge and HIS in the neck, both dirt cheap, and now I like it more than some of my expensive guitars. I might get a Leo Jaymz on Black Friday. Best of luck on your project!
