Got the old version of the HT1R head. It is very sweet.

    I've tested both.
By far blackstar sounded the nicest

Kind of the total opposite set of opinions. The ISF is a no brainer for beginners given it’s one dial and it does not get simpler than that.. As an “experienced player I would not be buying either of these to gig with, rather home / recording. The only difference as I hear it is in the tones and personal preference always wins out. Never going to pin an amp to my board so that’s not a consideration for me. Finally the power Vox adaptor is a no for me.. Stay safe..👍🇦🇺

Totally agree on most of that. Putting an amp on a pedalboard is not for old school kind of folk, but some of those millennials and gen-x dudes are doing it, so watch out. Don't be surprised if the future of amps for them is quite different. On top of it, they might be making some cool sounds from that kind of set up too. So, frankly, I'm open to it. ISF is where I disagree with you. As with a lot of design decisions, some solutions become conventions. For example, making links blue in a website is now a convention, or making tires rounded on cars is now a convention. I believe the same is the case for a Three or Two Band EQ on an amp. This is a convention, something that amps have done so since the beginning. Why change it? The ISF actually adds confusion to the mix, by trying to "reinvent the wheel", or trying to change the color our links on a website from blue to yellow, etc. In all, I don't believe the ISF is a no-brainer. Quite the opposite, it is a brainer, because it goes against conventions, making you think more on how to use the amp.

@@rigosgarage5961 I think we have a counter argument in your views on “convention” I.e. Round tires V’s Amps on Pedal Boards.. WhAt we can agree on is gear is a personal choice and effects units may be the future for all of us.. Taake care..👍🇦🇺

its a pity, 19 v makes it impossible for battery use. also 9 v would match with paddle board supplys... poor design here
