There are those ending in “el” such as we see with Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, Ezekiel, Samuel, Nathaniel, Daniel, Joel where the “el” is a reference to Elohim. The next is the reference to those ending in “ya”, “ah” or the “ah” sound: Joshua (Yehosua) Jeremiah (Yirmeya), Nehemiah (Nehemya), Isaiah (yesaya), Hosea (hosea), Joshua (Yehoshua). Note the absence of the Yah sound at the beginning of the name. It is always a “Yeh”, “Ye” or “eh” Jesus’ name in Hebrew (iesous said Yesous in Greek) means Salvation and is “Ye”shu”a” or “Ye”shu”ah” conforming to the Hebrew name patterns.
