    I feel like this is the inner monologue of every training cycle: "why am I doing this?" "is this good pain or bad pain?" "Ok actually that wasn't so bad, ready for the next run" You've got this!!! 😄

    You seemed a bit stressed out early in the video. Hope things are a bit more chilled now. I have a love/ hate relationship with speed work at the moment. I enjoy the faster running but it leaves me broken for days.

    Congratulations! Also, big relate on the run club - I put it off for so long and felt so ill before the first time I went! But now it’s been 4 months and I go every week and I love it 🥰 it is the peopling aspect that’s the scariest part but it’s helped me to come out of my shell a bit! Have you been back?

    Ah you were running along the river there OB side and Mission Bay side - those stretches are monotonous at times! I have done many a long run through all those bits! If you can do 22 on your own, you'll be fine with 26 in a race. Race atmosphere is much more motivating than a solo 20+ mi long run.

    I wish I could do audiobooks or listen to podcasts but I always zone out within five minutes. So on my walks I listen to one song on repeat or a few. Without Spotify premium I would cease. Perhaps signs of neurodivergence. hahaha You ask yourself why am I doing this? But once you cross the finish line, you'll know. And you won't regret anything. Maybe you'll cry. Or not but you'll be proud of yourself. I believe the next step will be Ultra Marathons 😆 Can't wait for that series 🙂

    Honestly, whenever I feel burned out, due to work or some other reason I watch my favorite feel good films like The Mummy or Ella Enchanted, or a Cinderella Story 🤣You should watch Brittany Runs A Marathon. I know the burnout is burning, but just remember that you are an exceptional human and you are doing great. It's normal to feel over it, or tired. You're human. 🙂

    First of, that shirt with the stars is absolutely amazing. Second of, it's hard not to get obsessed with running times and all that. I'm glad you are able to get into liking running again. Sometimes, you just gotta ignore your watch, and enjoy the run for the sake of running. I also think the social aspect lifted your spirits. I hope you keep going to the running club and run more races because you just seem happier when you're around your people. 🙂

    There's nothing wrong with being a "downer", or having a bad week. Not every week is going to feel great, if anything, I appreciate your sincerity. I hope your knee situation improves. It can be a frustrating situation; however, you still ran and did your best despite it all. You should also be proud of these moments, though they don't feel like wins at the time, they are because you could have easily quit. 🙂I am sending the best of vibes !

    "I'm fighting with air" hahaha it reminds me of the scene in "The Happening" when there's something in their air that's been killing people, so they try to outrun it. You have to watch it for a laugh, the concept is actually interesting but some scenes are trying too much 😆

    I haven't read A Court of Thorns and Roses yet but I can confirm that Thorn of Glass is more of a YA Fantasy series if that's more of your jam, but I only read three books in the series and it's been a while so my memory is fuzzy hahaha

    I love a non-carbonated peach mango Celsius like no other, but the urgency to pee shortly after makes me reconsider. So I'll drink a sugar free red bull, or a green tea monster. Point is, as an addict I can only encourage this habit. hahaha

    I'm sorry how the cookie is crumbling. I recently watched "Brooklyn" (2015) for the billionth time and there's a quote about homesickness but I feel like it applies to most things that seem like they'll never stop hurting, "All I can say is that it will pass. Homesickness is like most sicknesses. It'll make you feel wretched and it'll move on to somebody else". Whatever is causing the puffy, I'm telling you it'll pass. It'll hurt, hurt worse but eventually it'll fade and it'll be just a chapter in your life. Wish you well 💙

    Your leg pain with the Saucony could be a couple of things... Drop of the shoe could be different to what you're used to and causing issues The shoe fits weird and is causing you to land differently causing pain after your run Recommendation would be to film your stride in both shoes and see if anything is different...or it's like you said and the arch is bad for your feet 🤷

    I can relate to a LOT you're saying. I swell really bad too after long runs. I started to feel pretty fed up with training, not really seeing improvement and casually running half marathons+ so often was demotivating me. I make weekly videos too and some weeks it's a lot... but, recently went up to 19 miles and for some reason that made me really happy because I'm getting closer to tapering. We gotta be proud of ourselves for running, making videos and being so consistent haha!

    When the headspace is bad it is really difficult to get out of it! I think taking that break during the run can be helpful-I'll do that and then say something like "ok, are you ready now?" to which I respond "no, but let's go" which for some reason always makes me feel better-idk if that's because I'm acknowledging the crapness of the run or because here I am talking to myself and myself is responding!

    I selfishly hope to keep seeing your updates. But the most important stuff is to have fun. So if the videos are making you feel burned out, maybe pause them for a while to see if it makes you feel better? I think that's normal to sometimes feel that way. Don't be hard on yourself on those days/weeks; it will eventually return to normal.
