  • Incorporating race days into Marathon Training is my new favorite thing. What a fun way to hit a Milestone. We have a full week of workouts topped off with big celebrations at the 2024 Surf City Marathon/Half Marathon. What’s your favorite distance to race?

    Im with you. The travel and parking anxiety is real. Dont mind the running but hate the logistics of it all 🙈

    Congratulations! Also, big relate on the run club - I put it off for so long and felt so ill before the first time I went! But now it’s been 4 months and I go every week and I love it 🥰 it is the peopling aspect that’s the scariest part but it’s helped me to come out of my shell a bit! Have you been back?

    First of, that shirt with the stars is absolutely amazing. Second of, it's hard not to get obsessed with running times and all that. I'm glad you are able to get into liking running again. Sometimes, you just gotta ignore your watch, and enjoy the run for the sake of running. I also think the social aspect lifted your spirits. I hope you keep going to the running club and run more races because you just seem happier when you're around your people. 🙂

    i could drive myself nuts with "i feel fine after a 15 mile run even though it was my longest ever i must be getting better" vs "or OR you're not working hard enough" sssSSSSH mind thoughts go to Sleeeeeep

    Congrats on the PR!! Also, great that you went to a run club! Totally get the anxiety of just showing up. I am a defacto organizer for a trail run down here and we are so happy to get new faces. If we don't get new people, the run club would die out! I get that not all groups will be welcoming but most are and really want new folks to show up!

    Great vlog, Victoria. I've been a runner for almost 4 years now, and recently ran with another person for the first time ever 😂
    Turkish Delight is grim. Definitely tastes like some kind of household cleaning product.
