2024 Toyota 4Runner Review: The Final Year
At the end of your advertisement the car remote horn lock sound honks multiple times. In my world and the world of many others that horn noise blast would wake people up or startle them while resting in their homes. How many decibels do you think it is? What if there were a child asleep in the house or a sick person, or someone as myself with multiple serious cardiac issues? Remote vehicle horn honking noise is in NO way comforting and it should NOT be the norm any longer. Light flash signals confirm in and of themselves that the vehicle IS in fact locked and armed without the peace disrupting noise. People need to rethink all this and discontinue accepting horn noise as the norm. Break the remote horn habit! Thank you.
Looks kinda ugly... Why do i like it?
WRX on road noises sound lower.
very very nicely done video, top class
FINALLY SOMEONE PUTS THEM HEAD TO HEAD
Dude has noticeably stepped up his energy level. Good review of a dang nice truck.

I love my Mitsubishi ❤ it has a core Japanese elegance that seems to be fading away.
Very thoughtful review. Thank you.

Great review. Prefer Wilderness for towing, ground clearance and sportex seats. But I don’t like the gold accents.
Nope on the 4 cylinders
You had me at wind and tire noise I don’t want it You’re a great speaker though. I enjoy watching you.
I think Chevy & Ford are stepping up their game, while Toyota is dropping the ball, they should be able to pull market share away from Toyota.
Bonito, mas ainda prefiro o ranger raptor
I bought a 2019 SX Limited new. I have always been a Toyota guy and loved my 4Runners and Tacomas but they (and the Telluride) are not available in Mexico. I like the KIA more than the Yotas. I have had it almost 5 years now and have had ZERO problems. Only thing I am not a big fan of is the navigation system. This might be the last vehicle I'll ever own. And yes..I LOVE the knobs.
One of the best reviews on the C8 I have seen. I have a 2023 Torch Red Coupe 2 LT with Z51 package, and I did wait 1 year for it but worth the wait. I am so glad it has the great 8 speed automatic probably would not bought it otherwise. Love the car and get many complements on it.
Mmmm let see which car will get to 100k miles without going to a damn shop 😂😂 😅
I went with the Colorado ZR2 minus the Bison package. I put the 12 thousand bucks for the Bison package in my pocket, and still have a truck more than capable for anything I'll ever need. Awesome truck...love it.
This video totally convinced me that Toyota is.......NOPE...NOPE....I still prefer the hyundai; masculine aesthetics, more tech, good space, and better price . Not even close. Everything you credited the toyota with are attributes the target audience wouldn't care for .
Already put 6k miles on our cx-90 turbo S. Averaging 27-28 mph on highway using regular fuel, and 19-22 mpg around town. Our vacation trip with car fully packed and 5 passengers inside averaged 25.6 mpg (measured and calculated at the pump on regular fuel), almost 2000 miles round trip with traffic jams, some city driving and mostly highway driving at 75-80 mph with multiple stops because of kids. Cx-70 shouldn't be much different. Love the car. Front bumper paint chips very easily, I regret not getting protective film on the front. We never need to push it above 3000-3500 rpm because of the amount of power it has at lower end for regular driving, so there's no need for me to waste money on premium fuel. Still getting headlight malfunctioning error on the screen and mazda hasn't fixed it, but lights seem to work just fine. Overall very happy with the decision to get the turbo 6 cylinder instead of phev. My wife loves driving it too. If you are worried about weird shifter position for parking the car, if you accidentally dont put it all the way into park and open the door, the e-brake will be automatically engaged to prevent car from rolling.
I wish Mazda would offer the parchment-colored leather in the CX70. As well as the wood grain on an interior other than greige.
"Looks tougher"..? "Looks" are the reason why people think SUV's are more 'durable'. They're not...! They're heavier, higher up, more prone to roll-over in crashes, (thus less safe!), have tiny trunk space, than a decent mid-size car. And you pay a premium just because it's an 'SUV'... That being said, the RAV4 is likely the most efficient and reliable vehicle within this category. Toyota has perfected the hybrid, as they've had a couple of decades head-start on their competition, and their cars have always had a good reputation for reliability. No, they're not perfect, and can have problems too... There is a months-long waiting list in our area, and dealers are tacking on useless expensive (high margin) options, like 'paint protection'... AVOID the POWER LIFT GATE option!!! (Or the upscale models with expensive failure-prone options like panoramic skylights, etc.) They're fragile and hyper expensive to replace their struts. Don't ever try to manually close it...!!!
People are missing the point. Not everyone wants the size of a full size truck. Also, would you rather have the most amped up off road ready best looking midsize on the market or a mundane run of the mill full size? Same price.
Love mine
The tires are not mud terrains. They are maximum traction. That's why they are not noisy
Had problems with my 2023 ZR2 Colorado and the 2024 is no better, they have a nice looking truck but employ a bunch of monkeys to put them together.
Stop saying these cars are Unreliable. I am on my second Giulia and they both were trouble free. JD Power just ranked Alfa Romeo at the top of the chart. Other European brands like BMW are horrendously unreliable. Jesus christ. Honestly, the real issue is the lack of dealers...... This may not be a good car to own if you don't have the support of a decent dealer network. THAT is what makes them a slightly riskier proposition.
Ridiculous price for pretend truck.....get a Tacoma and still have it after 10 years
BUT ....its a 3 cylinder 🙄 looks like a small seat ..your knees are up in the air
The BMW does have eye tracking, which should make it easier to try it hands free. The fact that he was wearing very dark shades may have affected the ability to continue in self-driving mode for an extended period of time.
What a cool truck! I can't wait to get mine.
2023 4 runner owner here Love it!!
I have one and I hate the engine and transmission. Transmission shifts too early making you lug around town, I have to put it on Tow/Haul mode to keep the rpms above 2k. The engine isn't all that spirited and it feels laggy.
The V8 is the truck's soul ... You killed the truck.
Very nice presentation 👍 with straightforward review.
Chevy has really stepped up their game, impressive truck. The midsized truck category has gotten really competitive.
The problem with the price is that you can actually get a full size truck
Good luck with that. Lol
Not everyone needs or wants a full-size truck
@@johnathanbrutlag4982 that’s silly. That’s like saying you have a million dollars but don’t what a billion, if everyone could they sure would want that billion
I think it’s mostly old farts complaining about price. Newsflash , prices only go in one direction.
Newsflash, old farts are the only ones that can afford these trucks.
Typical old fart annoying answer
@@adrianw3985old facts like myself. Whi have saved up lots of money can afford to buy this nice of a truck in our middle age years. Think I am going to go ahead and buy the zr2 bison edition. Thwn go enjoy driving it in the southern Appalachian mountains in east tn,Western nc and southwestern va mountains. You will be older in no time. Then you might be able to afford a nice tricked our truck like a bison, ranger raptor or a Tacoma trd pro truck.
Imagine spending $60 k on a quarter ton just go buy a entry level half ton and mod it for that price lol
Don’t know why they put that tire in the back Smh
It won't fit underneath
Great looking truck… but the price! Yikes!
TRD Pro tacoma is the same price, and this is arguably more capable. I'd take the normal ZR2 and save myself $14k though, personally.
Will easily pay another 7 to 10 grand morw to own a new 2024 Tacoma trd pro or a 2024 ranger raptor trucks.
If you think the Passport sounds awful, you should give up reviewing cars. I blocked your channel and others should as well.
At first, I thought this is about the IS 300 with the 2.0t, but no, this is about the IS 300 *AWD* with the 3.5 NA. Not a small difference.
If I will have 2 suvs in my 3 car garage, these 2 will be it. The 3rd is the halo car NSX.
