Zeppelin def ripped off things but also put their own spin on things and definitely had their original creative input. Rock N Roll is nothing but people who are influenced and then put their spin on the stuff they rip off. Hendrix and Morrison were friends or atleast were cordial to one another and had jammed together before during late night club improv jam sessions.

That's why AC/DC became literally the opposite. No drugs, just alcohol, no calligula parties, just bar fights and no aeroplanes, but good old tour bus. They even rented a car for Bon Scott and Cliff drove him to the parties when Angus was in bed already. That kept them down to earth and made them survive the whole shit for more than 50 years meanwhile other musician cant even handle two or three big tours
