At the beginning, I thought this was meant to be an advertisement for the new incarnation of Let It Be that Disney is putting out. I will say that I would be Keen to get a look at it if I already had a Disney Plus subscription.
You can watch the development of "Jerry and the Violent" for free, who also started their careers in Kaiserkeller and Star-Club. They were a Swedish group who were rated as #3 after the Beatles and Rory Storm and the Hurricanes with the Searchers and Jerry and the Peacemakers as #4 and 5 and at #6 Gerry and the Pacemakers.
In the UK, it's close again if you consider the unison/harmony vocals of '62/'63. I'd say McCartney has the edge taking into account double 'A' sides! Equal with Now & Then!
@@johnmc3862 It's completely subjective - I'd say John & Paul were pretty much equal singing the best songs that meant the most & were not just commercial hits!
By your count they recorded 256 songs. That's 45 more than what they released as a band called The Beatles. And 81 songs if you dont include the covers. And of corse not counting the 3 dismal songs they did after John died.
Of course, back in 1970 a joke went around that paul was dead and had been replaced in 1966, we were all on drugs then but it seemed possible until we came down from our high and realized it was joke with enough holes in it that we laughed our azzes off. Then for some reason, the joke has been resurrected so some capitalist could make some money off it on the internet, because there are enough morons to believe it to go around. Sadly the people of the 1960's, 70's, and 80's raised a bunch of morons who'll believe anything.
Lennon did most of the earlier songs while McCartney did most of the later songs.
Correct.
Nailed it actually. Paul 'Epstein' McCartney. Epstein used to have a more innocuous connotation...sigh lol
That's inaccurate. Where did you get those stats?
Without counting, I knew John and Paul were about equal by that measure.
It doesn't matter -They were a group of friends.

I watched it. It was cool.
I don’t want a Disney subscription, so bought a HD BluRahy set.

My guess before watching the video is that McCartney sang lead vocals on slightly more songs than Lennon.
This video counts a lot of stuff they covered or wasn't released when they were a band.
I always wondered what the answer to this question was.
Now I know. Cool.
This video is highly inaccurate.
This video is highly inaccurate.
James Paul McCartney died in car crash on September 11 1966 and was replaced by William (Billy). This is the truth no matter what!
Me. I did.
The original Let It Be video from the 70s was hated by all the Beatles.. A fact.
Shit. What a rabbit hole
They were a good band
I hate the words at the bottom you can't get rid of. What a drag
Lennon 110, McCartney 106, Harrison 38, Starr 13. There, saved you 5 minutes of pure filler.
He needs the ad money.
That includes covers and stuff that wasn't released when they were a band.
The answer comes at 5.14. The rest is bla bla blah
It's not even the right answer.
I was gonna write the same thing..Hahahaha..
@@pallen49 It's not even the right answer. He counts covers, stuff they released after the breakup, those three God awful John tracks.
The real question is who sang lead on the most Beatles hits, not the fillers but the hits?

Fillers? Not so many.....
No the question is who sang the best songs that meant the most and were not just commercial hits? And that was John.

@@johnmc3862 since best” is a subjective at best, I think sales is the best measure. Not if they were #1 but actual sales of singles.

Los of blah, blah, blah
Ya...It was long winded to finally get to the answer lol
Can we talk about Paul is Dead? 😉
Oh where he was replaced by someone who, miraculously, looked identical and had as much talent.? There's no fool like a conspiracy theorist.
