There are some fan theories that Marty's prolly *ended* a number of times, but then Doc keeps going back to get the timing right- like at the end of the tunnel, and on the top of that building. How did Doc know to be there precisely at those times? He couldn't have known exactly where he was going to be both times, which means it has happened a number of times before and he had to keep going back to get it "just right".

The people that dislike it just don't get it

As "The Shining" can be more terrifying to women (lecherous husband trying to kill his wife's son), "Alien" can be for men (man raped by an Alien and dies giving birth to its offspring).

The magic this movie held to me as a child was something else. Seeing it on a dim, dusty movie player screen in a dark room was an experience like no other. I wish I could recreate that magic. Apparently it was the same way when my father saw it as a child in the theater.

Cryogeneic (cryo) sleep is what sci-fi movies usually call it. Although hibernation or suspended animation are basically correct terms.

It is so interesting to me in the scene with Elizabeth and her beloved, respectful father who may rest in peace. To us his death is inevitable and he cannot take the rope and join them (though I truly question if them being in the afterlife would mean he could be saved and flip back to the living world with them...food for thought. Anyway, it's funny how we can't possibly see him being anything but dead now in this scene, yet this is a movie with undead or people that come back to life or curses. It's interesting, shows how built into narratives we are, that have to happen a certain way such as someone important dying in a tragedy. It's all very cool but I do wish he could have taken the rope. Rest in Peace Gov. Weatherby Swann.

Everybody that saw the baby Rex scene assumed that it was Roland that broke it's leg. There was actually a deleted scene where it showed what really happened. Roland did tie the Rex down but Peter Ludlow came to Roland to offered him a toast for the success of the first day. Ludlow ended up losing his balance because he had already had a little and he ended falling on the baby's leg breaking it. Roland was actually pissed at Ludlow for doing that. That's why you see the bottle there because Roland chased him off before he could grab it.
