In the scene where Freya is standing with the ice crib she created in memory of her baby-you can see tiny spikes of ice form as she touches it. This shows how powerful her grief is. When her servant arrives with a torch, she screams “No fire” with such rage. This shows how fire is not only her weakness-but it killed her baby. That’s why she hates fire. It brings back this very memory.
Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron in the climax sense was truly a mother off. A cultural reset. Still gives me chills.
I hope Stella and Hayley are going to make their own reaction channel.

For me I love Freya. When she told Ravenna "I loved you." and she responded with "That's why I'm stronger than you." in my head I was thinking "No that's why she is stronger than you." I also loved the dwarves romance, but these are the main things I love about this movie. I really wish there could've been a third movie where she survived, but also gets a second chance to raise a family.
It was very sad what Ravenna did to her sister Freya..... destroying her Future with a man she Loved, and Killing Frieda's Innocent Baby girl, it destroyed Frieda..... turned her heart to Ice. I agree with someone's comment about the "Frozen Baby Crib" and Frieda screaming at the Guy with the Tourch of fire......it reminding her of her Baby dying in the fire. And how she "kidnapped children" and actually Loved them, but her anger ruined them...... wanting only obedience and control.....no Love for anyone but Her, Frieda.

Wow, so much interest in this. They've already got the equipment, Haley already knows how to edit.
I do feel like they crafted a story that required Ravenna to return in order for Freya to get some closure about the death of her child. Plus the black with gold leaf costume looked epic especially contrasted with the frosty blue of Freya's castle
What I like about this movie is that regardless of what she says or does, Huntsman is just absolutely giddy from the moment he learns his wife is actually alive and it was all just a trick. She's cursing him and he's just grinning because she's alive and standing before him.
Stella better start her own channel with Hayley and have nobu and james on as guests or something
Why can't the other three people run the channel? Makes no sense to close it down just because one person is leaving.

I third this and wholeheartedly agree with you, I honestly think Nobu, Hayley & Stella especially the latter two should continue to run the White Noise Reacts channel moving forward for more reactions or do their own reaction channel featuring all three or the two girls together even if the likelihood is somewhat slim, and the million dollar question.
Besides, there are hundreds, perhaps thousands and millions of movies that the White Noise Reacts channel haven’t reacted to (e.g. The remaining Pixar movies (e.g. Elemental, Soul, Luca, Finding Nemo), Barbie, Oppenheimer, the remaining Disney animated movies etc) and not willing to continue to react to those movies moving forward in 2024 onwards is just literally a _“What the Heck?”_
I think Soos said it perfectly during the Series finale of _Gravity Falls_ when Grunkle Stan was planning to close the Mystery Shack is a Metaphor of what’s going on with White Noise: _"You shut down this shack, and you shut down our dreams! At least….My Dreams.”_ 😢
Which is what James is doing to Nobu, Hayley and Stella. Now I can understand that running a CZcams channel is a big responsibility and it’s also part of the reason why you decided to prematurely end the channel instead of having Nobu and/or the Girls (Hayley & Stella) run the channel moving forward, but honestly I would love for James to pass the torch to let another reactor or have Nobu, Hayley and Stella run the White Noise Reacts channel or let the three and/or just the Girls do their own reaction channels.

I loved all the bird symbolism in these movies and how they connected to the female characters.
1) Ravenna
In SW & the Huntsman, Ravenna is clearly tied to black ravens ("raven" is even in her name). There's a superstition that blackbirds are messengers of the dead, and can bring death and malice by hanging around someone. Ravenna clearly brings death to whatever kingdom she conquers as well as the land itself. She can turn into a flock of ravens to transport herself and there is even a scene of her eating the hearts of colorful ("more beautiful") birds. Even in Winter's War, after the mirror is destroyed, there is still a golden raven that exists and hanging around Snow White. Speaking of which...
2) Snow White
When her mother wished for a child, she thought "skin white as snow, and hair as black as a raven's wings." Years later, from the window of her prison cell there are two what I assume are magpies (any bird experts feel free to correct me) who help lead SW to freedom. This is interesting because magpies have black wings and white bellies, very reminiscent of SW's own features. It's also interesting that there are two of them, possibly symbolizing the spirits of her parents watching over her. The first time I saw the film, I wondered if that is actually what they were supposed to be before it was revealed that they were fairies. While brief and likely of no consequence given how this series is most likely over, the post-credit scene of Winter's War leaves the audience wondering if this golden raven is the spirit of the mirror or Ravenna herself attempting to corrupt her. If we take ravens in this world as symbolic of evil or doom and she has the "hair of a raven's wings," it's quite possible she has the potential for darkness.
3) Freya
In Winter's War, the birds tied to Freya are snowy owls. Befitting for two reasons: 1) Snow, obviously (they're not only white but their natural habitats are cold), and 2) snowy owls are diurnal rather than nocturnal (meaning they hunt during the day and night). This is also reminiscent of Freya who spies on her huntsmen all hours of the day using magic stone owls, like how Eric and Sara thought they could sneak away in early dawn but were caught immediately. If I was going to try and make her name relevant somehow like I did for her sister's, there are two elements I could point to. 1) The Norse goddess Freya is associated with love, beauty, war and death (which are all themes throughout both of these films). 2) This is a bit of a stretch, but Freya kind of sounds like freeze. This didn't have anything to do with birds but something I thought about.
Wow, these writers must really love birds to be this creative.

I know! This should have been Snow Queen movie like a dark mature Frozen ish movie with Freya as the focus villain origin and redemption arc like Maleficent kinda.
One of my favorite movies that I can rewatch and never get tired of it. Charlize Theorn was rocking the hair in the beginning of this film.
Nobu, Haley & Stella- don’t disappear!
Personally I enjoy this film a lot more than Snow White and the Huntsman. It has its flaws but it's much more creative and you never know what's gonna happen next. Plus the cast is insane!
Originally it was supposed to be a sequel featuring Snow White but Kristen Stewart was dropped from the film (whether her affair with the previous film's director, Rupert Sanders, had anything to do with it I don't know, but he was dropped because of it). It was eventually decided that this film would be a prequel/sequel about the Huntsman.
Kristen Stewart said that she turned down an offer to make a cameo.
The film is loosely based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale "The Snow Queen" which Frozen was also inspired by (Elsa was originally a villain).
One thing I don't understand: the mirror was able to say that a baby WHO WASN'T EVEN BORN was going to grow up and become more beautiful than Ravenna, but it wasn't able to say that a 8 years old snow white was going to as well? She was held prisoner for over a decade, how many times did Ravenna ask the mirror "who is the fairiest of them all?" while she was growing up and the mirror said "you are" before finally recognize Snow white as more beautifull?
Also, I love the concept of Ravenna statue being made of Gold and the inside being made of her solidified black liquid, It's just like her: pretty, beautifull and stunning in the outside, but an rotted, corrupted, pure evil thing that is barelly human at the inside
It saddens me that this is the most recent and so-far Final Group reaction that they did together before James December 6th bombshell video of the White Noise Channel ending (fyi this reaction was recorded 1-2 weeks before its release on Patreon and CZcams) and also their *ONLY* released group reaction in December.
I don’t know if the upcoming _Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events_ reaction will be a group reaction featuring all four of them (James, Nobu, Hayley and Stella) or just James and Nobu doing this reaction of this movie much like _The Sorcerer’s Apprentice_ reaction released 1-2 weeks ago, but that December 6th announcement video by James caused a ripple effect with the other reactors from the channel hence why their hasn’t been a new group reaction for almost a month.

I feel like "The Snow Queen" is such an underrated fairy tale. "Frozen" is the biggest success, but very few versions use the story, mainly using the character.
Ravenna is everything, her looks, her power.... my queen...

Tbh I always assumed that the "true loves kiss" worked with snow white and the huntsman because the huntsman was literally in tears about Sara at the time. Could be wrong but that's what I always assumed, I didn't think there was really anything more alluded to from my watch of the film years ago *shrugs*
if i remember correctly the ice thing that freya does is taken from the snow queen story, where she creates a mirror and shatters it and it gets into people eyes cause them to see and shows only the bad. so that why the huntsman saw her as dead, and she saw him leave
I read the story from Hans Christian Andersen that not the Snow Queen made the mirror, but a goblin, who shattered the mirror and the wind scattered it far and wide. But that's right that if the piece gets into the eye than we would see nothing but ugly things and if into the heart we would turn evil from the effect of the mirror. The Snow Queen just used this opportunity.
@@StoryLover-7 Several goblins (or little imps) who then started fighting over the mirror. That's the way it breaks all because they enjoyed watching warbed/evil images of the world and the people. -And the shareds would not turn people necessary evil but cold and unable to see beautiful things which I also interpreted as somekind of depression in case of the boy Kay who is taken by the snow queen.

The BTS gossip is that Kristen Stewart had an affair with the director of the first movie and that was a factor with neither of them returning to the sequel. This one was directed by the Visual effects director of the first movie.

Regardless what you said is true James, I definitely can see new members or other folks running/joining the White Noise Reacts channel, and having the same dynamic that James, Nobu, Hayley and Stella have and working alongside Nobu, Hayley and Stella, along with the fact you’re 15k subscribers until you reach 300k.

Besides I’ve seen plenty of Reaction channels that still are continuing to do reactions 3-4 or 5-6 years after they started out such as Reel Rejects, BlindWave, The Normies, TimotheeReacts, ANGELINA, It’s Totally Cody, Natalie Gold, Vkunia etc.. and in some of these channels they had a few reactors that were once a part of the channel before leaving for better lives and have other members still run the channel.
The members of the White Noise Reacts team are welcome to start their own channels. The outpouring of support in the comments may impact those deciscions. When/if people decide to start there own projects, everyone will be informed. I have said this multiple times in the comments. I understand your concern, but I can promise that spamming will not help the situation.

Read between the lines dude,
1.The guy claimed he started the channel because he wanted to be famous, not to share an interest in films and story telling with others.
2.He creates something wonderful and popular, bigger than himself by inviting interesting contributors. Then pulls the rug out from under those he has enabled effectively clipping their wings and completely ignores their positions on the situation in his announcement to us so we have no idea how the other crew think and feel.
3. He accuses you of “Spamming” for simply expressing the most natural basic first thoughts and concerns about people and a channel you have come to care about, like many of us.
To quote the president Merkin Muffley from Kubrick’s Dr. Strangelove - “There’s nothing to figure out General, this man is obviously a psychotic” Simply put this was a real dick move. I think it’s a case of one ego to rule them all.
I too am a big fan of Hayley and Stella in particular and wondered if there was any way to save the WNR channel but having slept on it my advice to the other three is sadly you are better off just having a clean break with WNR and its creator, rebuild from scratch if you all want to keep reacting, many of us will come with you. There’s nothing to read between the lines my friend. As I mentioned in the video, there will be more videos made on this topic. As agreed on by the team, and in an effort to not speak for them but only for myself, I decided to make the initial announcement alone and explain my personal reasoning. Due to the outpouring of support, there has been some significant reconsideration of the future by everyone. As soon as concrete decisions are made, everyone on this channel will be informed as they were in the first video.

The golden raven in the end flies in the end credit scene to Snow White while she's standing at the balcony. I ask myself till today if that means peace between both or Snow White becoming evil because of being possesed by the mirror and helping Ravenna out.

I was waiting for this! I disagree that's it's better than the first, BUT I prefer the first just a little bit. They're neck and neck for me. The first one at least still has an audience, this one was PANNED and I never understood it. The effects were great, the world building was great, the humor hit most of the time, and I absolutely loved the romance. I understand why we didn't get a trilogy but I'll always wonder what could've been.

wonderful commentary as always!!! i really appreciate your comments since i grew up thinking this was the *coolest* movie ever. it's so nice getting a subjective view on the film!!! i feel like the characters themselves lacked substance. the dwarves never really had to be there? so it's like,,, funny sexism and comedic relief. the tone also feels odd. since we saw Eric at such a low point, it felt like they overcompensated by making him so charismatic and happy.
i still LOVED seeing your reaction to it!!! and i still enjoyed a lot of the lore building. i completely agree that it felt bogged down by being tied to Snow White in the first place, and it just couldn't shake that. thank you so much for sharing!!
21:21 Because she was in a dungeon for 7 years probably being spoken poison to. Honestly I think it's completely justified that she doesn't believe him. Who knows what was happening in those 7 years. Being made to sit with your thoughts thinking the person you love betrayed you. It's it's own kind of hell on the opposite side of the spectrum to what he was feeling.
If this was a Snow Queen movie instead of huntsman and they shifted the focus on Freya in a Maleficent style of villain origin with redemption arc at the end... this would jabe changed the tone of the movie and would have been more successful... there can still be a tie in to the Snow White but more of just being in the same "Universe" (like Marvel/DC) rather than a sequel. ❤
I ran the numbers on the last 3 months of reactions. I included feature length movies only.
The Boys - 15 vids, 41.4k avg. Views
The Girls - 10 vids, 49.8 avg. Views
4 Way - 10 vids, 53.2 avg. Views
The weakest showing was the boys, the girls beat those numbers by 20%, together they were the most successful because fans of both came together. What this shows, I think, is the girls were the strongest part of this channel and were a significant part of its development and success. They deserve to be bequeathed whatever is left of the channel when James leaves.

at the time the studio said after 3 years of re-writes they couldn't find anything for "Snow white" to do. I suspect that Chastain and Theron had more aggressive agents and Stewart sort of didn't care.
First and foremost thank you for the fun content you have provided us. I too am sorry if you feel spammed. But friendly advice, perhaps some mention during that video of whether the four of you were collectively done, if they were considering continuing, of if it was up in the air, would have nipped all the repetitive questions in the bud. People like closure, and now we have this video (probably made before the announcement, but still) where the other three say not a word about what is going to happen. Please consider the 4 of you giving a brief goodbye, at the very least, with perhaps a mention of if there is an intention of more content by anyone and where to find it. Just a suggestion, though, either way thanks for all we did get.

I love how the girls pay attention to detail with their set up being the only ones with back drops. Honestly it makes a difference I wouldn’t be surprised if they start their own channel
Okay, this show is AMAZING even if you don't like Westerns you need to see this show! You WILL be hooked from the first minute to binge watch all the seasons! It starts with one season of 1883 then it goes to the same family in the show 1923, then it has 5 seasons in present day called Yellowstone... I CANNOT believe that MTV did this show! Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Sam Elliot, Harrison Ford, Kevin Costner... I can't believe the lineup of talent! This is the BEST Western saga ever!

Actually, this is the prequel to the snow white and the huntsman .. that's why in the ending a golden crow is still alive and that's how ravenna revive in the snow white and the huntsman...
Surely I know in Snow White and the Huntsman Freya appears in a scene...

I think this was a wasted sequel that got a heavy case of Frozen Syndrome. The movie should have focused on the Mirror man being the real villain using Ravenna.

Glad you liked this one but shouldn't have left the credits song I like that song haha any way Castle by Helsey and it was the song got me to like her songs, Any way I liked this one's story and I do love Freya but she's not Elsa she is based on the snow Queen of Hans Christian anderson as is Elsa herself. Freya's story is so painful and yes I agree they should have had the brother here too some how but any way. The bloopers are hillarious though haha. Ravenna was bound to the mirror which is interesting and I love how her Dark Fey evolved as well in this one. Peronally I like this one better than the first one because of how the script is better and bad ass woman warriors here as well haha. Freya is my favorite character though I gotta say I do love Ravenna as well she is crazy but it makes her interesting haha. Like I said before this one is it's own story and i like that about it.

When I saw him I instantly thought Merlin. I watched too many times, but its just soo good Colin as Merlin. And Gaius. I love them. He was great in the series The Living and the Dead.

I’m sorry, Ravenna was the best part of both movies. I was actually rooting for her, wanted this movie series to end in tragedy with her winning. The fact that it’s clear she survived again because of the golden crow makes me so happy.

You guys grasped it so well; I also felt like not having much emotional connection to the characters for some weird reasons; and it wasn't exactly their acting or the writing; something just felt missing. I also agree, I like Freya's character arc the most, and I think she is the main character that I actually had any emotional investment for because of her arc. Love the reactions, always on point and logical :)
Do not judge people when you are not in their position.
It is not clear that if the same thing happens to you, you should do something different, and one never fully knows himself or others.
When nothing bad happened to you, then you can't judge someone's character by the things that happened to them during their lifetime. You might have done the same thing you judged or even worse. 😏
