Echidna at Aldinga Scrub, South Australia
I’ve seen a few short-beaked echidnas in the scrub over the years but never seen one so actively digging and feeding. I got to spend about half an hour with this little echidna in Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park watching them pull apart the dead wood and digging in the sandy undergrowth searching for ants. At one point they even climbed a small dead tree in their search and you can see and hear them feeding. It was nice to feel trusted enough that the echidna allowed me to stay with them for ages.

Processionary Caterpillars - South Australia
zhlédnutí 1,1KPřed 4 lety
Processionary Caterpillars are found throughout coastal and inland Australia and display a fascinating behaviour that helps them find new sources of food. Once these caterpillars have stripped a plant of its edible foliage, they leave to find another plant, leaving a silken trail behind them. Processionary caterpillars instinctually follow these silken trails, so it is possible to see groups of...
Magpie vs Door Mat
zhlédnutí 785Před 4 lety
I never liked that mat anyway!! This Australian magpie is collecting materials for its nest and is well known for using available household items such as door mats and hanging basket liners. The nests are built exclusively by the females and generally placed high up in a eucalyptus tree fork. The Australian magpie is probably best known for its complex, musical, warbling call and for dive-bombi...
Baby Kookaburra learning to laugh - very cute
zhlédnutí 104KPřed 4 lety
This baby kookaburra was in Belair National Park in South Australia, working hard on his laugh, trying to sound like Mum & Dad, but sounds more like a baby dinosaur with a sore throat. nativeaustralia1 For licensing and usage, contact: licensing@viralhog.com

Yep, their tongues really are that colour...no photoshop. They are great to have in the garden, keeping the snails under control.
Koala and Joey - rare footage in the wild
zhlédnutí 55KPřed 4 lety
We found ourselves in the right place at the right time to capture footage of this mother koala and little Joey at Belair National Park in South Australia. It’s pretty amazing how the Joey can hold onto its mother while she walks, sits, stands, jumps and climbs. 😊 nativeaustralia1 For licensing and usage, contact: licensing@viralhog.com
Coral - Great Barrier Reef - Cairns
zhlédnutí 118Před 4 lety
Listen to the parrotfish eating the coral and see many varieties of coral on this dive. There is a large plate coral, spaghetti coral, boulder coral, stag horn coral and many others. Keep an eye out for the large coral full of blue fish. It's quite stunning.
Surrounded by Batfish & Giant Trevally - Great Barrier Reef - Cairns

This experience was initially a complete surprise and then both awesome and disconcerting. Awesome to be so close to such spectacular fish, disconcerting to be surrounded by shark food.
Peaceful Green Turtle - Great Barrier Reef - Cairns

It is a pleasure to inhabit the same space as some creatures. Swimming with this green turtle was such a peaceful experience and one that I will not forget.
Goofy Galah - Native Australian Cockatoo

Watch this beautiful Galah tentatively work out how to get itself into a tree hollow without getting stuck. She is looking for a place to nest and not altogether confident that she will fit.
Screechy Rainbow Lorikeet - The Native Australian alarm clock

This beautiful rainbow lorikeet decided to put on an awesome display for my camera showing just how loud and persistent this stunning Australian bird can be. The morning sun really shows off their amazing colours.

Blackbird nesting - from building the nest to leaving the nest
Mashallah very nice
A black bird baby that I rescued flew away a few days ago. He/she looked exactly like them, so glad that they grow up fast, it broke my heart when I found him/her gone, it’s a lot more comforting knowing that at his age he would be leaving the nest and gaining his own sense of independence. I was beating myself up for it. Thank you so much for the splendid video.
Lovely video, thank you. What happens to them now? Do the parents keep watch over them and still feed them? Can they fly back to nest? Maybe someone can give me some answers. Thanks in advance.
Wonderful thank you!

Merveilleux oiseau !
He is a cutie.🤙❤️😇
I spent a year in Oz as an exchange student. I loved waking up to these guys. ❤
Precious little one. I so hope someone helped him get water and food, plus a safe place to call home. ❤
I've a scaly breast lorikeet, she was born with no flight feathers,so she crashed to the ground and I found her hopping around with ants all over her 15 yrs ago.
❤I have a olive green scaly breasted lorikeet Ms Diva 😘🦜💞.
There was a Blackbird family on a lemon bush that my parents hat planted in the backyard and in that area a the female had been makimg the nest and she used mud on the top I myself had seen the Adult Female holding something that was light from the ground in it's mouth. Plus the Nest was next to my mom's bedroom and right outside the window in her bedroom, and on the right from what the window is showing was the nest. I even saw the 3 chicks opening mouths for mom and dad to feed. We did not see the chicks from day 1, instead from day 6 they have left on November 14 3 days ago but the blackbird mom and dad still are there probably having a nest somwhere else. Btw thx for the video.
Was about ask if theres a music free version of your nice clip, checked comments and there is! Thankyou for both of these, my Musk lorikeet will throughly enjoy listening to the natural version

Ha ha ha
I love the compilation...beautiful thrushes...I have several species of North American thrushes attending nests on my channel...please feel free to check it out! I think the American Robin is a close relative of the Blackbird. I know they are in the same genus, Turdus. I'm pretty sure they would be able to interbreed if they were ever in captivity together. Cheers, Damon
Maybe it was only mildly amused at first... some jokes take a while to sink in! 😉
Sorry to disappoint. Kookaburras have several variations to their calls. The juvenile is doing one version and doing it properly. They do not always break into the 'laughter' version, particularly if they are on their own, and depending on their status in their group.
A Star Is Born!
When I get older, I’m going to make a lot of noise.
❤❤ I had blackbird nesting in a car. They’re beautiful😊
Too much music
Ha ha, he sounds like his battery is almost dead and needs a recharge lol.

Beautiful ❤️
got emotional at 9:21.....what empty nest syndrome feels like...but this is part of Mother Nature
I live in Far North Queensland, Australia… and I’ve been using this video, played LOUD, through my stereo in the back yard to attract families of Kookaburras in!! 😍 It’s so sweet and sometimes they bring their baby with them, too! 🙏🏻
What a dumb thing to do, making the birds confused like that.
thanks. beautifully documented.
Wow! Nature is so incredible.
They’re absolutely beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey baby, you’re sooooo beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤
They’re absolutely amazing! Keep our koalas safe!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Those are just like the robins in my yard.
I didn't know there was black birds in Australia... 🤔
I ❤️Willy Wagtails. 🌸💙
...and people say birds are robots
Nice chronology!❤ Check out my bird nesting videos on my CZcams channel. I have American Robins, which are closely related to Blackbirds. Cheers, Damon Calderwood

Ils sont adorables j'aime beaucoup les koalas❤❤❤
Wow this is nothing like they said in school 😂
Remember I found a cuckoo hatchling in a nest and saw it trying to push the others out after making sure it couldn't and the others hatched I took him out to a personal little side nest sort of and fed him twice a day he would peck me for more food so I decided that he wanted to bite the hand that fed him I put him in my snapping turtle tank
Nice video. It's soothing our eyes
