I donate when I am able, and I am designing koala themed jewellery for a friend in Tuckurimba to sell to raise money for the Koalas. If your government won't help, I'll do everything I can. I've always loved koalas, and it breaks my heart that they have suffered so much.
Koalas and other wild animals are rapidly losing habitat, thanks to humans. Nothing to love about that. Why do you think that koala was wandering around streets and houses?
I’ve never seen any other wild animals being so open to human contact. Not the ones who stay away...rather the ones who will go up to people and climb up them, or check them out. It’s not all habituated either...it’s just that they have some of the most mellow “wild” behavior. Thank god too, or else they wouldn’t have been so easy to help during the fires. They just got picked up and placed in baskets. Their wounds got tended to and I never saw even one go rogue on it’s help. Poor defenseless creatures.

When I came back the second time to this video I noticed the Kookaburras making their wacky sounds in the background, it's sounds like crazy town down there! I actually have a "stock" Kookaburra call(the one you hear in all those jungle movies) as my smartphone ringtone! You should see my clients when my phone rings, they look at me like I'm nuts!
What nonsense! They get most of the fluid they need from eating leaves. Do some reading. Do you really think nature would make a creature that lives off leaves, and then nature would think, Oh well, it doesn’t matter if the way I’ve made them leaves them dehydrated? Please, find a book about native wild life and READ it.
By the way, offering a koala water is a risky business. If the koala is in any way stressed or weak, it could inhale the water; water in lungs > death. So stop being a know-all and giving wrong instructions to people who might believe you. And pick up a BOOK. Or talk with a wildlife vet.
This Male koala is looking for a gum tree and also a gum tree that doesn't belong to another koala. They mark the tree bark with their scent gland located on their chest. That is why hes sniffing trees. Instead of hovering and intimidating the creature let him be on his way...he looking for a home ..people are soo selfish all they care about is stalking, filming and making the animal feel uncomfortable instead of being helpful and giving him some space.
He looks like some alpha beat his poor sweet beta face and kicked him out of the koala clan :( Am I right? Is that a scratch over his right eye, and one at the side of his mouth? And the poor guy was sniffing trees and smelling nothing but dog by the look on his face. At least whatever he went through last year helped him to get acclimatized to humans. I hope he survived the fires.
The noise in the background r kookaburras they r native to Australia. I fed four this morning they come every few days and I give them thin raw E 💏💔 beef strips of meat. Mum dad and the two younger ones come

This young male was strong and in good health. We followed him as he walked up a quite street and watched him get settled into a big ghost gum.

Koala was looking for water and food, look confused and sluggish. Once they are out of their habitat, they are lost.
I always wonder if people call a rescue after filming. Ideally, call a rescue and film while you keep an eye on it before he’ll arrives.
