Should I add an additive to my 2018 Nissan Rogue freshly change CVT oil ?
Hi I have Nissan Pathfinder 2016 model, Last week I had driven it from deep water and it started jerking immediately. Then replaced all plugs, 8:39 engines oil , oil filter and when checked gear oil it had full water contaminated in it. 2 times they flushed the oil and still I'm not satisfied it jerking
Can you guide me what to do transmission is expensive
My 2013 rogue makes a growl type noise under 30mph when accelerating. Sometimes it makes a screech sounds like a belt. Anyone know why ?
is the Nissan Altima 2.5L 2010 good
Nissan Versa since 2013. Purchased new. Till this day no problems but its under 100k. Fast as hell for what it is too
Any CVT transmission problem of Nessan Kick models?
TY bro the best explanation on You tube
You're welcome
I have to take my Nissan in Thursday 🙄🤦🏼♀️
my Subaru outback cvt got coolant inside it because of a bad radiator. no check engine light or warning. $100 radiator ruined a $ 8000 cvt
What year is your Subaru outback?
Excellent information gracias simple straight to the point
You're welcome
I think you've got this backwards. I've been researching the quest and the CVT issues start to wane off around 2015 and they actually perfected it in 2017. The other years dont sound right either from what I've read. You didnt list any of the older years either which are the main culprit.
I have a 21 Murano SV I bought used. I had the CVT fluid changed at 60000 for the first time. I think the transmissions are better since 2017 but they do still have their weaknesses. Maintaining the fluid change is very important. I don’t drive like I stole it so that’s not a issue. I don’t think it’s necessary to drive “extra careful” but if you drive reasonably I think it’s fine. I don’t believe the transmissions are that delicate I think they are largely abused and not maintained. Nissans are not Toyotas nor are they priced like Toyotas so that’s something to consider. Overall I’m happy with the SUV. It seems fine. Time will tell. Wish me luck. 😅
Good luck!
I DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT ENGINE. I HAVE A QUESTION WHEN CHANGING BRAKE FLUID IS IT NECESSARY THE BLEEDING PROCESS? I HAVE NISSAN 2018 VERSA. great info. thanks
If you let the brake fluid reservoir go empty, then yes, it's necessary to bleed the air out.
Great much thanks for your info.
Here is 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 with 200,000 miles on it and drive as a charm! Normal wear and tear for time, wheel bearing, control arms, bar links. The "problem" with Nissan CVT Transmission is that ALL dilership in 2010-2020 thay say Transmission fluid is lifetime fluid, since Nissan is pioneer in CVT Transmission all thay go to bad. But the people who did not believe in "something" lifetime and change the transmission fluid every 30,000 miles still drive their cars. I have another 2019 Honda CRV 1.5 Turbo. I have a lot of problems with that car AFTER the warranty period. Oil dilution is standard, valve gasket liking, AC broken down required change on all system and lines not only the AC compresor, carbon build up.... My 2007 Nissan Altima 2.5 with 200,000 miles is more reliable than my 2019 Honda CRV with 75,000 miles. I love my Nissan and is as a part of the family since I own from brand new!
Cvt need fluid change every 30 thousand miles. Ans the cooler lines need ro be blown out
Mine doesn't want to turn on. I have a scion xa n the temp icon is on while the car is off
Depends on what it is doing. Let's say it doesn't crank, then, I would start by scanning for any codes and start diagnosing the starter circuit and work my way back if the starter is not the issue
@WrenchLink well I changed the gas pump, the harness, spark plugs, coils, n starter. It turned on. But once I changed the hub bearing, it don't want to start. It doesn't give the spark
My Nissan Sentra 2015 has transmission issues but still runs what can I do
Sell it
I have a 2012 Sentra. I drove it from Arizona to Texas and back and just got back yesterday. The check engine light came on about half way through the trip. I had a P0744 code come up when I put my scan tool on it which is a TCC transmission clutch control valve intermittent. I kept driving it and after a few miles the car suddenly had no power. It was like the transmission wouldn’t downshift on hills or maintain speed on cruise control. I’d step on the gas pedal and it wouldn’t accelerate. When I pulled over the transmission was very hot. Wasn’t sure if this was normal? I poured water on the transmission to cool it off and it seemed to work. I drove it again and had no problems for a while; but, the problem returned. Essentially that’s how I got it all the way to Texas and back. I had to pull over and pour water on the transmission every 40 or 50 miles. But driving it through the city I had no problems! I did put some CVT oil in but it didn’t solve the problem. My transmission is overheating? I didn’t know that the transmission had used coolent from the radiator? Wonder if that is the issue and not the TCC? Hummmmmm? 🤔 Good video! Thanks for the info!👍
Change the CVT fluid.
@@amkjr85 I changed the oil 2 1/2 years ago and that was the second time I’ve done it. So I don’t think that’s the problem. It maybe the filter behind the cooler is dirty. I already ordered a complete aftermarket cooling kit with a new filter, cooler and a radiator cooler to help cool it better. I will replace the CVT oil now because of the overheating……….thanks for the reply. 👍
What does a P0841 code mean regarding the transmission? I have 2016 Rogue.
Never buy any vehicle with the jatco cvt
Why buy a car with high probality of a transmission problem nissan need to get back to the regular tranny and make more sales
My X-trail T31 cvt lasted me till 328,000km
My 2003 jetta hiccupped on the highway and then started slowing down and died while it was slowing down the traction control light came on blinked twice i think and then the battery light came on and the car died and wont start now any suggestions? Bad battery or alternator? Or will the traction control not make the car start?
If the car starts by jump starting it and turns off when unhooking the jumper cables, then I'd check the Alternator circuit.
@@WrenchLink found out the timing belt broke and the valves bent so new car i guess
I tought it is supposed to have suction?
Yes, it's supposed to have a suction. A commanded suction by the ECM/engine computer, not a continuous vacuum suction/vacuum leak.
Ok. Thank you for clarification
It’s just completely outrageous that in the 21 century a seasoned manufacturer can not be counted on to build a reliable car transmission. No doubt that much of the public don’t change all fluids as consistently as they should but the manufacturers are not insisting that they need too by promoting this never needs servicing crap. It’s just disgusting
Doesn't Niisan also make Ramen noodles? 😂
Usually overheat is the problem for all AT's. Install and additional ATF cooler with thermal bypass and make sure the front number plate is not obstructing direct airflow trough ATF coolers. Change the ATF fluid every 40k or so. BINGO!
Simple,,,,,Don’t buy this Crap. Agreed. I drive right by Nissan Dealerships.
Is valvoline cvt maxlife good ?
Is a 2019 Neeson vehicle reliable compared to earlier models?
It's a lemon after three visits to the dealership is that simple I turn my car back in after three visits for the transmission.
The bearings whine, like a Whiney little bitch
The 2012 I have already had timing chain replaced under warranty
It'd be helpful to have the transmission numbers.RE0F08A, RE0F10A, etc., because they are all very different quality and life-wise...
Empowering video💪🏽, awesome job👍🏽
Thank you 🙌
Is a 2008 Altima have a cvt transmission
Everything is able to be fixed bro just depending on what you want to put in it
Can loose battery terminals cause my car to die? I've been charging my battery all night but my battery terminals are very loose...which causes the lights on the dashboard to start flickering and whenever I turn my headlights on, turn the radio on, or let my windows down it drains the battery
Clean the battery cables for corrosion...or tighten the cables...or battery cables is no good..not enough power going to the battery from cables...or change the alternator...to test...run the car on... Disconnect red cable on battery while car still running..if car stay running with the red cable un plug...it's the battery..if the car turns off...it's the alternator.
Unfortunately the government is pushing for better fuel economy. So now.. not just Nissan but Subaru, Toyota, Mitsubishi the list goes on are now using CVT’s. Some are using Jatco or Assin CVTs .. but either transmission brand can fail if you don’t service it and use common sense on your driving habits and maintenance. Some people usually don’t keep their cars longer than 15 years anyway and trade it in for the next new vehicle.
I have the car with those codes, the valve was subduing my finger, I just changed the valve, but the sign of the control engine has not yet been removed from the dashboard, ford c max, how long does it take to remove
If the doesn't have any other issues, it should go away after a couple of drives
You can also take it to a parts store to scan it for codes
I hate CVTs. This video confirms, once you hear a noise in the transmission it's either going to die or will be a costly repair. Just trade, don't repair or replace. Don't but a used CVT auto, you're just getting someone else's problem.
My local Chrysler dealership performed a quick relearn on my car and it didn’t change a thing. Bought my own scan tool and did it myself. Problem solved.
What valve solenoid?
Homie had a bad alternator when he tried to say alternator
save your money do not buy junk trash high maintenance repub. corporation junk!!! designed to die 10 min out of piss poor warranty junk !!!!! total junk
Nissan cvt it's that delicate?
This is making me nervous with my recent purchase of a 2013 Sentra SV only 79,000 miles mint condition inside and out runs like a charm but this has got me uneasy
my neighbors 2013 had a new timming chain at only 27k! second one at 60k
Nissan is insane for keeping this trans, resale is in the toliet the bean counters win the consumer losses Don't Buy a Nissan or any car with a ctv problem solved
On your car they just circled the problem on the steering wheel
