  • In this video I go over the three reasons why you shouldn't go mobile yet, without the proper experience.
    The first reason is:
You will be working on a moving machine and if you don't do something right it could be catastrophic. Working on your own cars like changing the oil, replacing brakes, spark plugs, serpentine belt, etc. Is not the same as working on other people's cars, if the client asks you a question about the car, what are you going to answer? You're supposed to be the professional that knows what he's talking about.
    The second reason is:
Reputation, if you go mobile without the proper experience then you will just gain a bad reputation with your clients and you'll be perceived as unprofessional and maybe a ripoff. You don't want that if you wanna build a successful mobile mechanic business and if you wanna sleep at night.
    The third reason is:
Running a mobile mechanic business is almost like running an auto repair shop. If you work at an auto repair shop before you go mobile; you will see and learn how the shop deals with customers, parts and cars.
You don't need to be this high level with 20 years of experience technician to go mobile but you do need at least 2 years of experience working at a shop or 1 year of automotive repair school and 1 year of experience working in a shop.

Una pregunta hermano cuanto cobras por un cambio de aceite?

Yo cobro $20 de mano de obra más el aceite y filtro pero solo si es con otro servicio. Si es solo un cambio de aceite no lo hago porque no me sale

I completely disagree with you, if you know what you're doing go for it. The best mechanics i know never stepped in a class and they can diagnose any problem on any car, school is so overrated.

How could school be overrated when I am positive that over 75% of mechanic started their mechanic career by going to some school or auto dealer training program. The statement that making does not make any sense. Unless, you think you that mechanic are self made and that people can teach themselves to become mechanic by reading books and manuals or by viewing videos.
