    Is using chalk cheating a weak grip or no? Should you be able to lift heavy without chalk or is there a certain weight where it becomes hard regardless?

    I dropped the bar on my foot. It wasn’t injured too much. I googled to figure out how to unload the bar and this video has saved my life. Thank you. I was about to stop lifting 🤣

    So, if anyone is like me and working outside on pavement, then we just need to rack the bar somewhere or get deadlift jack because its not possible to do that last step of unloading the bar, where the bar is pulled out of the plates and the other end slides across the rubber mats. On pavement, that would scratch up my $400 Rogue barbell…ouch. But the others were good tips.

    Good advice. Not to be that suitable for classic Olympic plates, however (as they're thicker). Anyway, again, good advice: short, clear, with "pros and cons" highlights.

    Thank you. I have been using "preloaded" bars, but they are difficult to deal with as my strength has increased. I'll feel much more confident on my next deadlift day.

    Thank you for showing us how to do this. i'm a beginner and was worried I was gonna clank the weights and look stupid in front of everyone. Tbh a lot of these seemengly small things are why people are intimidated to move from machines to barbells.
