So it's generally recommended to add in weighted chins and rows instead of the power clean. How would you program them in for a novice who is one or two months in the NLP ?

Hey Onoie! This is a little bit of a complicated question, but generally I start people with a 4x8 on barbell rows @about the weight the trainee is benching. It might need to be lighter the first few times to learn the technique, but it should get heavy pretty quickly. For chins 3 sets of As Many Reps As Possible (AMRAP) is the general recommendation. Once you are getting 10 reps across sets (at least 30 reps total), you can start adding weight & do 3 sets AMRAP that way adding 2.5-5lbs/week. As long as you're getting 5+ reps a set, you can keep that up for a while. Hope that helps & happy training!
