1966 Wayne Manor Bruce Wayne TV Batman house
TV's Mannix used the Wayne Manor house (380 San Rafael Avenue in Pasadena, California) in several episodes. In this one, S1E21, 1968 we see outside parts of the house we've never seen in 1966 Batman starring Adam West and Burt Ward. Three different clips, first the front, 2nd a walk around the right side, and the back of the actual house.

Several villains in the 1966 Batman TV series had the nerve to steal the Batmobile, the Riddler, Bookworm, Catwoman, King Tut, and the Sandman. The Mad Hatter tried but was foiled by the Anti-Theft Device, but only the Penguin had the gall to steal it and re-brand and rename it the "Birdmobile" (he also called it a black vulture!) Way back in the "early" days, before facebook an youtube were the main internet sites, there was a great 1966 Batman board which then was moderated by Lee K. and Scott S. plus others. One fateful November day in 2005, poof, the boardhost suffered a failure on it's system. When it finally got backonline I made this video. Shows several random clips from the TV show. The board is still active, ww...

Wear your seat belts, obey the speed laws, you can't trust a prison trusty! Note that in this episode is one of the few times (twice) the show that the Futura Batmobile's hood is opened. Notice the Batmobile probably needs a tune up or another quart of oil! At the end you can hear it's the actual car's classic V-8 engine along with the atomic and turbine whine! I enjoyed watching Batman and I always will. To the Batpoles was one of my favorite quotes. The other was Hold tight, Batman turn before Batman would pull the red lever to do a quick 180 plus the parachutes. When I am out with my wife if I have to make a hard turn I tell her hold tight, Bat turn. It drives her crazy. She doesn't like Batman but knows that I do.

You know the one thing I always liked about this show is that Batman/Bruce, Robin/Dick, and Alfred all three of them know each others identities but only call them by the appropriate name. Like if they’re wearing their costumes they’re Batman and Robin if they’re in civilian clothes they’re Bruce and Dick

So Batman and Robin *are* automatically dressed (somehow) when they go down the batpoles: that is, assuming their costumes are cleaned. I must have forgotten this scene since childhood, but I always suspected this must be the case. The mind boggles.

Or, lost the silky speedo and simply dawned a grey and blue jock strap, instead. That said. I know we're older bm fans, are talking about, the 1960s era here...??? 🤓🩶💙🖤🥸

What the Green Hornet called a “Scanner” back in 1966..is today known as a “DRONE.” And WHO KNOWS? Maybe the Green Hornet and Kato’s “Scanner” may have indeed been the original INSPIRATION for Today’s DRONES in the FIRST PLACE !!
