Louise of Stolberg – The Queen Without a Crown
“We were thrown into this world who knows why, and you have to finish your time to become I don’t know what.” These were the words of a princess who tried to make sense of the world she lived in.
What made Louise of Stolberg reach this conclusion is the story of her life.

he buried his wine bottles… haut brion no doubt ;-)
There was so much hate between "religion people", that Henri was trying to humiliate Margot with open affairs and forcing her to leave.. Even she saved his life once, he will not return that favor to her in time when she will need a help the most, he will keep to humiliate her in front of the court till the end. Disgusting time for women, even the titles and money would't help, even more disgusting is that parents were not trying to help, or to change the law for their female children! Fact; not everyone should't be alowed to have children! -Margot -Dorothea -Georgiana and many, many more..
Thank you for this lives and history story you did! We miss you and hope all is well! What a lovely voice to narrate. ❤
Queen Mary was a pretty lady. Very kind as well and committed to duty. A wonderful queen consort.
Thanks for the longer vids, the shorts aren't enough for me, cuts the story off too soon 😊
Glad you like them, Carol.
@@livesandhistories love them ❤️
She told Napoloeon she would never be happy for the rest of her life and she lived through that. An unhappy, bored woman just trying to be high until the end of her days is what I get from the video.
One of the most famous daughters of our city and she is still buried here
You pronounce our lovely city better then most people on CZcams thank you from Celle
So kind of you to say that. Thank you.
Ok
this woman's voice is so god awful it was so bad I was forced to turn it off. she sounds like she had a reading lesson and failed, miserably.
My only experience of Italian culture is with their “ heart -achingly beautiful cars “. Nobody does it better . Like Ferrari have had their cars styled by Pininfarina the other styling house was Bertone. Talking of which Georgia Meloni got driven to the G7 summit with no less than the pope . How is that for the ultimate publicity shot !!! Although the previous pope was driven around the test track at Modena with no less than Enzo Ferrari !!!!
Queen Mary felt inferior because she was descended from a "morgantic" marriage. As a result, Queen Mary was a Serene Highness instead of a Royal Highness. The Tecks were always in debt. Although popular, Queen Mary's mother was rather obese and a poor money manager. Because of their debts, the Tecks often lived abroad to save money. It is unlile;y that Princess May would have been happy married to the dim-witted, weak-willed Albert Victor.
What a delightful video biography! Thank you so much for the clear exposition of such a troubled century, with this admirable woman as the central character of the narrative. You say that she had everything but good fortune...Maybe she did not have the fortune to marry the love of her life, but she was obviously blessed with a bright brain and a strong constitution, and she had the fortune to be able to cultivate her mind and surround herself with other bright and creative minds. And she lived a relatively long life! If I had a time machine, I would like to visit her during her last years in Paris. She must have been a fascinating person to converse with.
I also find her fascinating.
Why such a horrible accent to listen to. Pity! I would have preferred beautiful French spoken with English subtitles😊
Superb presentation--everything that was never explained to us in school! Thank you, so much, for the clarity and fascinating backstory!
Glad it was helpful!
What a life!
I saw the movie 🎥 with Jean Simmons
Thanks❤❤❤
I thought Napoleon, married Josephine, not. Desirae
I suspect her niece may have been her daughter. They look almost identical.
i am a woman of such intensity and intellect. i am unapologetically one of those women. i am one of those women. i am a woman of such intensity and intellect.
deep deep affection. deep affection.
this is so intriguing! this is really fascinating! deep deep and durable affection. this is really intriguing!
Things were different back in the day. When a king took an official mistress, there was nothing that the wife could do. But yet in the end Diane lost everything. You get what you put into.

As a Greek, I will eternally be greatful to poet Lord Byron for loving Hellenism and helping free us from the Ottomans. I even have his birthday marked in my calendar./ Every year I read up a little bit more about his life on his birthday to honor and remember his existrence. Now when ti comes to some contemporary Brits like David Cameron notsomuch. The former PM of the former Roman Poession of Britain, mocked Greeks for refusing to ridiculously recognize our slavic neighbours as "Macedonians". Even today he patronizingly and dishonerably plays stupid as they try to narrate themselves into apparently antihellenic founders of the Hellenistic period to hide his mistake. Unfortunately there is a lot of that behavior going around these days.
This would make for a great 🎥. It's sad to know what they went through as children.
Indeed, very sad.

Her father was an incredible hypocrite - he was happy to break an engagement in order to marry the woman he loved, but couldn’t find the decency to extend the same freedom to his only child, whom he clearly regarded as a pawn in his family’s rise to electoral status. He’s responsible for the death of her lover, ruining her life and probably that of her husband and his own nephew. Disgraceful!
I couldn't agree more!
At last we can see that Duke Edward followed his great-grandfather's model when he gave up his crown for the love of his life. For both men, a royal title wasn't worth not marrying for love.
Where is Charles I of Spain??????
Can you talk about her sister in law elisabeth christine of Brunswick
Later, as Henri put it, "Paris is worth a mass", and became a Catholic.
Indeed.
😮I read the book eons ago. It s nice to see the proof.
This was the most informative video I have watched on Fersen. Thank you for making it👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Her parents were psychos.
Perfectly executed documentary. You even took the cause of Von Fersen's lynching! I´m from Sweden, Stockholm. And very interested in history. Only plus in my book...! Sincerely Piero Mengarelli 😊👍
Thank you, Piero. I'm glad you found this useful. A beautiful country, Sweden, with a rich and interesting history ... All the best to you.
