- Princess Marianne of the Netherlands was an extraordinary woman who loved freedom more than anything else. She was the daughter of King William I of the Netherlands. The Princess challenged royal conventions around marriage and chose to live as she wanted. She was a strong and courageous woman who divorced her husband when such a thing was not easily done especially as a member of a royal family.
Today we will follow her story.

Such an amazing woman. It took a lot of courage for a girl back then to be on her own, choosing one's partner and walking away from a troublesome marriage. Royal princess were mostly stuck in loveless alliances called marriages. They were merely pawns used in bargain for more power, wealth and lands. Thank you for sharing about her.

Shakespeare once said that there is no right or wrong, but thinking makes it so. I think Marianne made the right decision. Better to be with a man she loves, even though they weren't married, than to stay with a husband she didn't love, who didn't love her and was always cheating on her. Even though that decision cuts you off from society, if you don't care for that society, it shouldn't matter.

Actually, Gustav's father had been deposed as King of Sweden and the family was exiled, so he was just a royal pretender. (He became an Austrian general.)
I find it ironic that you explained that being forced to marry was a right women lacked, when in reality both women and men were forced into arranged marriages.

But men had financial freedom and could still do whatever they wanted and no one would frown over it. Women were like caged birds in comparison.
Men received far less pressure to marry and were able to have mistresses without being punished + causing widespread condemnation. George I had multiple mistresses but locked up his wife for committing adultery after he did.

Interestingly, Princess Charlotte of Wales and Princess Marianne of The Netherlands almost became sisters-in-law! Charlotte was engaged to Marianne’s brother, the future king Willem II of The Netherlands. Wedding preparations were already underway when Charlotte suddenly broke off the engagement. She would later say: “No arguments, no threats, shall ever bend me to marry this detested Dutchman.”

I visited her residence in Italy, Villa Carlotta, named for her daughter Charlotte, on Lake Como a decade ago. Really interesting.

Not necessarily. Too many women live miserable lives and die horrible deaths because they have kids with the wrong father. A dead mother doesn't do them any good.

Next life, these women return in the form of a storm...wiping out what or whom they wish.
Sadly, Prinz Albrecht (husband) was a rage-filled boor who beat the Princess.
Her brother William 2 heat here , he is a real clown here.
Why didn't she leave her estate to her daughters so that they had more choices in life ? Maybe they didn't try and communicate but they were between a rock and a hard place probably with their father and husbands.
The son contacted her despite being a man he understood. Perhaps the daughters didn't want to do anything with her. Anyway it's her property so who are you to question it?
Did she reunite with all her children ?
Did she go back to live with them ?
Insisting that some human beings are "royal" so they can be forced to marry whoever is chosen for them, have the religion they are told to have and do a whole lot of empty ceremonies instead of choosing work that they are interested in - that's a form of slavery. Most slaves are poor but some live in palaces. "Royals" are wealthy slaves who are psychologically trapped and often physically forced to live the lives that others decide they will live. "The Truman Show" is a film about a man forced to live his life constantly on show. That film looks like the life of Prince Charles and Prince William. Good on Harry for leaving that royal nonsense and protecting his kids from living in slavery.
Prince Harry is a Freemason. He's doing what he's told to do.

@@tracesprite6078 I don't know where to start so that it will make sense to you. When the whole COVID thing started, I knew something wasn't right. Since the beginning. None of it made sense. I started recording headlines and what was going on around the world since the beginning. Then I came upon some information that seemed a bit "out there" to me. And as I kept doing research on COVID and who ran the FDA, Pharmaceutical companies, and WHO organization, the whole money trail, I kept coming across the same information that led me down another place. Once you understand who owns all the TV and radio stations, grocery stores, farmlands, all the huge corporations, then you'll understand the secret societies, such as CIA, Freemasons, Illuminati, Jesuits, Skull and Bones, Bilderberg Club, Club of Rome, Council of Foreign Relations .... and more.
If you believe what is being told to you, then you're not ready. If you have know or have started to realize that you can't trust the government, then start connecting the dots on what I've told you. If you're not willing or interested enough to start doing that, it really doesn't matter. No matter what I say, you won't understand.
I have spent 2 years everyday, all day digging into all of this. One of the first books I read was "Pawns in the Game" by William Guy Carr. He was an intelligence officer who wrote about what he knew and published the book in the 1950's. Everything he laid out is happening now. There are many books that talk about it. I'm reading a couple of books from the 1700's that explain what they witnessed. We are on the cusp of something that cannot be stopped. Good luck.

But who is anyone to say what that might be? Some would say to stay in a (loveless) marriage. Others would say to follow one's heart. The whole point is that there is no one way. We are all "God" experiencing itself through us.
@@mlr4524 The 2 most important decisions one can make in their lives are: To accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and who you pick to marry. If you mess that up, like I did, you're going to be in a world of hurt.
God created everyone and He wrote the manual to life. If you don't accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, God is not as you put it, "experiencing itself through us".
He said, "Do not be unequally yoked". If a Christian marries a fellow believer and follower of Christ, and both are obedient to His Word and His ways, things may get tough (all marriages have their struggles), but in the end, you'll come out better.
I did things MY way. I didn't grow up in a church/religion. I made over 50 years of incredibly bad decisions and I'll be paying for those consequences until I die.
Once I accepted Jesus and followed His ways, not mine, my life turned around.
That's when I met couples who were in loving, solid relationships who put Christ first and then themselves. I didn't even know that existed until the last few years.
God created everyone, but only those who accept Jesus Christ are His children.
