➤ RECIPE Cover oats with water, stir, and let sit, covered but not sealed, for twelve hours. Pour off the clear water that has settled on top, and then add as much water back to the pot. Cover the oats again, and let sit for another twelve hours. Change the water twice more, so that the oats soak for a total of 48 hours. (Hannah Glasse suggests that you may soak them for up to three days if you...

are you a man? edit never mind I seen your other videos
😊thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks
Excellent video, thanks! Also you look fantastic in your kit :)
I like your bonnet. But it doesn’t look like Dougal McKenzie’s tam 😢.
Great video. I really enjoyed it. I'm just tentatively planning to try some costuming and was keen to take inspiration from Anne Boleyn too!
When your voice first changes, your brain is still "calibrated" to your old pitch, so you may unconsciously raise it back up.
This is so pretty. I’ve made Jane Seymour’s gabled hood and Elizabeth of York’s gabled hood. I haven’t tried a French hood yet.
I have short hair, coupled with a relatively flat back-of-my-head, so I have a terrible time of keeping any headband/coif on my head.
Thanks for using my music and for the credit....
Is this a man or a transvestite woman
Waiting for some green linen to finish my dark green wool small-clothes. Already made some black wool small-clothes. second time will be more easy I think.
I work for a theater as a stitcher. Your video has been super helpful to me in the last couple weeks while I was working on a jacobean show! I've made 3 so far!
You are so mentally confused. You need serious help.
Such a shame!! You will come to regret it.
Hooray! Great to see you again, safe and - hopefully - sound! (If us history buffs may actually called that... 😂) Aa' the best fae germany!
Wherever you are, whatever you do right now, bless you and be safe!
Ochon, I hope youre well!! Aa' the best from Germany and an auld german teuchter...
Keep up the good work! And be yourself, whatever the odds, it's YOUR life!!! ❤
Pity to haven't you seen of late, excellent work and very educated! Started highland piping an reenactment in the 80'ies and studied history and archeology in the 90'ies, made my living for near 20 years as a self-employed piper (weddings, whisky tastings etc..) so I seem to "ken a wee bit" also after living a while in the highlands in the 90'ies (even more familiar with highlan' lore than some of the natives...😂) I immensely enjoy your videos, clannadh na gael!❤❤❤
😍 I want one now 😂
Hi! I'm new to your channel (thank you weird algorithm) and, in a non-weird way, I would like to compliment your voice! I don't usually 'get it' without watching subtitles, but I was able to listen to you while oft looking down at my own craft project, and still understood the words, so.... yay us! *16th century version of high-5* The Scotch Tape, while in Scotland, made me LOL! (Is 'bonnet" an okay word to use?)
Thank you so much! That’s very kind of you. As far as I know, the word bonnet would be used to refer to a different garment during the Tudor period, rather than the coif!
Looks gorgeous.
I'm confused. One video you look like a girl, but sound like a guy, & in another, you looks like a guy, but sound like a girl. Are there 2 of you; twins perhaps?
Looked fuchsia to me.
Fo The first writing looks like Bickman Font.
„Against every instinct in my body and my soul, I left the edge unfinished“ ufff.. I could feel your pain 🥲 maybe a little piece of bias band to bind the endge and sooth the soul? 💖
This is a great tutorial!
Weird hats are my favorite
You gotta practice with some voice lessons (there's free ones on youtube) to train your voice down, the T only gets you so far. Thank you for this great video dude
Nice work, fun to watch! Thanks.
An enjoyable video, especially as I wear the fèileadh-mòr quite often. Just one thing though: we pronounce plaid like "played".
Scotch Tape is a North American brand name for the tape made by 3M. It has become a general term for that style of tape in North America, similar to how Kleenex now refers to all facial tissues now
They look great. Well done.
Holy crap. They look so good.
Thank you! That was very interesting!
I just finished mine! I do have long hair and this holds it nicely low on my head, and in fact, low enough to fit under a bike helmet. I’m probably going to end up using this more for cycling than for historical costuming :-D

"you can use circular needles if you're a coward and a communist" !!!
Funny and entertaining 👸🏻
I'm always intrigued by the stunnig Statues in the Naumburger Dom, espicially Ute.😘
This was very lovely, soothing, and informative. Thank you Maria, I am taking notes for when I decide to tackle my own 💕
Thank you so much! I can’t wait to see how yours comes out ☺️
Ma'am, Thank you for this video.
💜
Lichen (or crotal) in Celtic Scotland would normally yield colours ranging from yellow/brown to orange and the colour would be made fast with stale urine (amonia). I've never seen purple dye made from lichen. What is your source for this? Or have you experimented with making dyes from lichen? Would love to know . . . .
Here’s a useful source: Diadick Casselman, Karen and Terada, Takako, "The Politics of Purple: Dyes from Shellfish and Lichens" (2012). Textile Society of America Symposium Proceedings. 666. Lots of other individuals on the internet have carried out experiments with lichen purple dye. It comes down to the species of lichen: some will give you yellow/orange/brown, but others, most notably Rocella tinctoria, will give you purple. My purple dress is not dyed with lichen, but the fabric is colour matched to real swatches of lichen purple fabric!
@@pinsandweevils That's great--thank you so much. I'll have to find out if this type of lichen grows (or grew) in Scotland.
Just a comment, I wear the kilt every day, warmest was +45 in Iraq, coldest -35 in Canada. Far more comfort than breeks or trews
As a coward, and a communist, I will indeed be making this with a circular needle. although, I'm also gonna probably follow Jenjoyce Designn's Dicey Highland Hat pattern. havent decided yet.
Thanks for the helpful video. Looking forward to more
I loved your whole outfit! ❤
Your stitch is so accurate and like wow!!!
