  • Welcome back to another historical video! This isn't quite a tutorial, more of a process video/vlog as I try to sew my first pair of breeches.

I feel like we need to acknowledge that yellow cravat. It is beautiful and I love it. So handsome, my dude.

okay but you have the vibes of the sweet young shiphand who joined the crew to gain passage to see his lover again. of course he inevitably dies an incredibly tragic death which the audience sobs at despite the fact that he only had about 3 lines in the whole film. fan favourite, little handsome lad, good vibes all around. I may be in love with u in that way that strangers can be. I hope u have a lovely day sweet lad 🥺🥺

Brilliant video. Too bad I suck at drafting patterns so I could never make my own pair of breeches but still.

I’m not great at it either! But it’s a skill like anything else, and the only way to get better is to try ☺️

They're beautiful! Breeches are intimidating and I too took several years before attempting them. These are much better than my first pair, and look so lovely next to the blue-grey stockings!

Yes thank you for explaining the back seam linen trick! I was almost understanding what he was saying in that video you referenced but seeing you do it was super helpful!! Great video!!

This is a great video! I haven't seen the linen reinforcement along the back seam before, but it looks like it would be really useful. I've been meaning to make another pair of breeches, and this is definitely inspiring me to move that up to the top of my list! I really like the color you chose for your breeches by the way.

Lovely video! You get better every time :) I noticed that you have the habit of "shrugging" a lot when talking - I used to do this a lot, too. It can look a bit nervous and my drama instructor made me practice using my hands more to emote so I could still have that movement but feel more natural. Should you feel a bit stiff when you do this, that might be helpful for you to try! Love your shirt with that necktie, they really feel like your clothes, not a costume, if you know what I mean.

New sub here! Came to this video from one of the earlier ones and it’s good to see (or hear, rather) the ratio of voiceover to background music has improved! Also holy cow I love how well you explain exactly what it is you’re doing, it kind of inspires me to get crackin’ and finally teach myself to sew 🤙🏻
