Why Booker & Durant have great synergy
Did everyone forget the entire season? 76ers weren't great without Embiid. The Knicks got the second seed by beating up on weak teams all year but couldn't beat the good teams. go ahead, put your money on them to make it past Boston. I dare you.
I love the nickname Mighty Mouse for Brunson.
"A ton of HART", "I don't know THE ANSWER yet" Well played by both The Knicks and Ben Taylor.
Of course not the 2001 76ers had dikembe 😂
"While I don't know the Answer yet..." Well played.
screen merchant
🔥🔥🔥
I don't put the names Iverson and Brunson into the same sentence. They are as different as can possibly be. Their personalities are totally different Brunson a selfless team first player Iverson a selfish me first player Iverson an incredibly quick, incredibly gifted, superbly natural talented player Brunson a slower and more deliberate self made player And, Brunson likes to practice.
Iverson's 76ers lost 😆
8:13 HAHAHA
Still weird seeing TB cover the Knicks and giving them some praise but this team is awesome and just a true team. They need to give Hartenstein the bag this off-season he’s been huge
Man Knicks are such a well coached team. Everyone is doing is fantastic job of reading the defense and getting in good position, and most important for Thibs, everyone is taking good shots.
He's like a combination of Iverson and Nash
Brunson >>> Young (I'm an Hawks fan)
Mann 💪
Ironically if they make finals they’ll likely be playing against the best small-big duo since Kobe/Shaq in Murray/Jokic
Great analogy
JB is the best at rejecting screens. Not even a spry, healthy Mitchell is better. Pair that with his sublime footwork and improved shooting and you've got one hell of a resilient playoff scorer.
10:22 jcal spotted
You see the thing is is that brunson is way better than iverson his skill and gameplay is far superior to iversons. Different era but iverson is not on brunsons level bar none.
They really have a ton of Hart..
The wierd part is that he is a good teamplayer while being "BALL DOMINANT" too. I think that's why is so hard to defend him
The amount of illegal screens by Nurkic in these clips is insane
Thanks for the Zion love
You said it at around 3 mins in, but an under rated part of this Knicks team is their patience. They clock manage extremely well in crunch time the communication seems very clear between everyone. There have been many situations in game 3 and game 4 when the Knicks missed some coverages, they call each other oit on the court and that same mistake just won't happen again and that offensive option is shut down immediately. I watched every series and I don't think teams are ready for this kind of defensive pressure. Nobody is defending like us right now
One thing I noticed with Brunson dragging Emiid out from the rim (and at times late in game four actively SWITCHING INTO him), he's not in a position to contest a missed shot so Tobias Harris has to contend with OG and Josh Hart by himself
been a LOOOONG Time since anybody put legit respect on the Knicks name other then 2013's Knicks and its nice to see... Durant would be a great addition to this team
Lebron wouldn’t be able to play in the old league. Most of his points are downhill offensive fouls/ travels
thanks
Great video!!! Nice insight!!
Doesn’t know “the answer”!!! I see what you did there
This was amazing. Now can you do a video on all the dirty plays Embiid has done during the series. Please and thank you
The irony is not lost on me that you’re comparing Brunson to a Sixers HoF/Mount Rushmore candidate. Great parallel and analysis, Ben.
Brunson isnt A I , theres no comparison. Be for real
I will never understand how a 6-2 player finishes in the paint against players who are more than half a foot taller than him. I can't even finish against guy the same height as me lol
we know at least one answer, and it’s that if the Knicks beat the Celts in the ECF, it’d be the craziest of upsets and Tom might spontaneously combust watching Hart/Robinson offensive boards
that was some slick footwork by Hartenstein at 4:49
ive been saying this. brunson is an efficient iverson
As a Nuggets fan, I would really like to see you do a video showing off how horrible my Nuggets are as a team. Jokic has no willpower to take over a game, everybody stands still in off-ball moments, Jokic keeps falling for stupid switches and Denver doesn’t watch the corner on defense so they’re getting cooked on the baseline every time. MPJ has been the only consistent player to deliver this series. AD has been falling everywhere and they’ve had so many chances to blow out the Lakers yet they always find ways to slack and find themselves in horrible positions. You can hardly tell they have a playbook in those 1H’s. They improvise the entire possession and the Lakers can read it so well because these MFers won’t move off-ball. They’re so reliant on their performance in the 2H every single game. This whole “conserve energy, let them get their lead and then we go full effort” approach isn’t something you can depend on at all. Jokic can hardly swing his arms in coordination, Jamal has been a mixed bag and Aaron Gordon might just be the best-worst IQ basketball player I’ve ever seen. I don’t really know how much Denver’s altitude actually affects performance, but for people playing home court - and playing here for nearly a decade - this entire series has been atrocious for them. Mike Malone’s influence on the team is not working; smacking his roster upside the head would probably work better than how little he criticizes his players. He needs to channel his inner Brooklyn and show people why he’s the NBA’s Henry Hill/Ray Liotta. Anyways, my Nuggets have gotten so goddamn lucky with how inconsistent the Lakers’ role players have been and it would be beautiful if you made a video on it, because possibly my Nugs can see it and actually have a clue on what the fuck to do if they wanna be Back-to-Back Champions. Which is one thing - QUIT SLACKING LIKE A BITCH. I don’t care if they win this game and advance, these are all problems that can’t go unnoticed if they want what it takes to win a 2nd ring. So yeah, that would be kinda cool. Maybe not though. I don’t care; I know what I’m seeing is a true phenomenon for my Nugs, and I am gonna lose my mind if I keep seeing this bullshit plan they think they have.
you arrived at a very similar conclusion to a Chinese basketball analysis channel! I guess heros think alike is true
Brunson is definitely an top10 nba player and will be in that conversation as long as he continues to play like this. His skillset is beautiful to watch. Can the knicks win with this kind of helio ball tho? We will see.
If Randle was there, can you imagine the gravity he would give and Brunson all of the space needed to operate? I wish I could see that healthy team soon.
Knicks shall very cautious & accurate with trades. This team chemistry is pure while they are still need consistent 2nd option (and 1st when Brunsons out). Mikal & Markannen (Booker is the dream scenario, but it won’t happen) seem the only 2 options which compliment this roster from both character & fit standpoints.
10:00 "...but they also have a ton of Hart.." while showing Josh Hart b-roll footage. Was this planned or a happy little accident?
The 01 Sixers is direspectful to the 23-24 Knicks. Name me a team in the league that's deeper. Any one of Anunoby, DiVincenzo, Hart (at a minimum) would be at worst the third best player on the 01 Sixers. Achiuwa, Bogdanovic, McBride, Hartenstein, Robinson > Geiger, Tyrone Hill, McKie, Snow, Ratliff by a substantial margin
I can only think of the wolves
I think of Jalen Brunson as this Lone Ranger, or Batman or something. Robin Hood. He doesn’t have any special powers, all he’s got is his toolbelt and his instincts. And he might have the deepest bag in the whole world.
Nice little wordplays there with Hart/heart and "the answer"
1:19 Damn, look at JB fight off four sixers for that ball. Beast.
Let’s go Knicks 🔵🟠🙇🏾♂️
AI was alone tho- the knicks are just a squad of DAWGSSSSSS
