Are you washing with them in? And when u say weekly maintenance, are u just redoing a few? When you take them down, are you undoing the whole head at once and combing out the parts, washing, then re-parting? Or undoing one twist combing it out and redoing it one by one and keeping the parts? Lemme see if there’s a tutorial cuz I need more info. Trying to do this the right way

Beautiful! I’m doing mini twists and trying to retain more length. Thanks for these tips! This hairstylist I went to several times discouraged me from using oil in my hair. Any thoughts on that ? So many natural girlies use oil and their hair flourishes so I really am confused by their recommendation.

I've found that having a good wash day 1-2 days PRIOR to removing the twists actually helps with takedown. The hair is more moisturized and balanced. Fewer tangles. It's been a game change for me.

I love them on there but my hair is to thin. The few times ive tried them they look terrible and bonless 😢

I'm considering washing monthly instead of every two weeks like i currently do cause of i want to meet a stylist to install the twists and see if i can keep them looking neat and moisturized dor up to a month and if i decide to wash in between i feel thw hair will become very frizzy and way too unkept since o don't plan on retwisting till the month os over... Please just lemme know what you think per your experience?

Yes, I feel you on this, but when I'm done I cry again because I have two more heads that are just as long and thick as the first. Then I feel the pain of when I'm going to have to take them out 😂 Absolutely love your hair. Try beading the ends to weigh down the curly ends. It looks even more beautiful.

Truth! I do regular-semi mini twists and the GROWTH! My hair loves them and I do too 😊 Keeping them hydrated and moisturized is key!
