Ep 355 | Cooking a Chicken Bush-Cook Style, Hunter River, Sailing Nutshell, Kimberley
We slowly make our way to the Hunter River. The tides are quite complex around this region and you have to get it right or you won’t go anywhere fast!
Magnus puts out the fishing line with a planer attached and we catch shark after shark.
We arrive at the Hunter and are astounded by its natural beauty.
We take Peanut as far as we can up the creeks and check it all out with Mavi.
We hope you enjoy this video. It’s such a remote area and it’s a pleasure to be able to share it with you all.
Thanks for watching.
Until next time…
Wendy and Magnus

We head towards the Sale River in the hope of checking it out in Peanut. But, the tides our not in our favour and bad weather is coming so we decide to abort. We move around quite a bit and end up spending the night at Raft Point. Then, we head off north and check out Langii Gorge at low tide. We have visited this place before and taken Peanut down the beautiful little gorge, but this time we w...
Ep 353 | Can We KEEP IT? Superb BARRA Fishing at Red Cone Bay, Kimberley, Sailing Nutshell
zhlédnutí 3,4KPřed 4 měsíci
We head towards Raft Point in the hope of anchoring close by and heading in to check out the rock art at the top of the escarpment. Unfortunately, it’s just too choppy and the anchorage is not tenable so we decide to give it a miss, yet again, and we instead make our way to Sapphire Falls. This area is amazing for barra fishing so we head off in Peanut to catch a barra or two! Then it’s time to...
Ep 352 | Are These Really EDIBLE! Sailing Nutshell, Kimberley

We need to get fuel if we are to make it back to Darwin. There’s a VERY remote fuel barge down Dogleg Creek so we take Peanut around the headland to get a few jerries. Magnus tests out a very strange-looking ‘animal’ which he keeps spotting on the rocks when he goes to collect oysters. Find out what the outcome is. After gathering wild mangoes, we leave the area and head through the infamous Ch...

Ep 346 | PIMPING Peanut, Broome, Sailing Nutshell, Australia
zhlédnutí 5KPřed 7 měsíci
We now set about the task of finding a new Peanut which will be suitable and safe enough for our trip to the Kimberley. It’s tough trying to find a tinnie in Broome as there isn’t much around. Broome itself is actually a small town. It’s expensive to get things in by freight and people don’t tend to let their tinnie’s go as it’s a fishing mecca. We eventually get a new Peanut and go about the t...

greeeat! I could almost taste that chicken...
Hi Steve. It was delicious! W.
Hi You still out there ? Im wondering about the Isuzu
The Isuzu was amazing. It took us half way around the world. We have since switched it out for a slightly newer engine. W.
Missed you two!!!!! Chicken looks amazing!
It was yummy. We very rarely have meat on the bone due to limited fridge and freezer space, so it was a real treat. W.
Good to see your adventures in this remote part of Australia again. Stay safe. Cheers from searing hot western Canada
It’s scarily remote. Makes you think about things in a different way. W.
So glad to see you back, safe and sound!!! I was getting a wee bit worried!!! :-)
Thank you. W.
How are you getting on with the SR3D DIY Kit guys? Have you managed to work out how to use it with your phone?
I’ve recorded loads of footage, but I’m not sure if I’m doing it right. I’ll do some more tests. Thank you. W.
Woohoo...... you're back......good to see ya mates
Thank you. W.
Cheers
Thanks. W.
@7:12 the chicken doesn't look seasoned, was it brined?
Hi Iain. No, it wasn’t brined. W.
So peaceful and relaxing guys stay put as the rest Of the world is going nuts especially in dear old blighty Stay safe guys Marty Qld Australia.
Thanks Martin. W.
Welcome back guys, glad everything is ok.
Hi Graham. Thank you. Yes, we are both ok. W.
long time no see
Yes. It’s been awhile. Should be more regular videos from now on. So much to share! W.
Thanks for sharing! The chicken looked excellent!
It tasted delicious! W.
Are you still going to put Nutshell up for sale?
We can’t make up our minds! Soo many choices. As you have probably worked out by now our plans constantly change! W.
Nice to see you back, last night I was just thinking about you and hey here you both are. Must have been a psychic scud !
Thank you. W.
Lame, waited months for a video & this is all youve done. Boring!
You sound like a “lovely” individual /s. No one’s forcing you to watch, perhaps you could reconsider, if negativity is all you want to bring!
Well, finally you are back, alive and well. And here I worried because there were no videos on a regular basis and of course all kinds of thoughts occured until this current vid and it finally dawned that you said there'd be no communication for a few weeks. Feeling at ease now. Great to have you back.
Thank you. We are both well. Should be back to more regular videos now. W.
So good to see you back I was starting to get a little worried about you. Thanks for the vid I am so jealous but I can enjoy your trip vicariously through you.
Thanks for your comment. W.
Australia Day barbie enjoy guys cheers n beers Marty Qld
It was such a great day. W.
You guys are really living it, Need a bit of salt on your chuck though. cheers
We’d love to but we’re a bit salt intolerant! W.
Wonderful Videos ⛵
Hi Stephan. Glad you like them! Thanks. W.
Missed youboth !!!!
Thanks, Jenny. W.
G'day folks. Just calling in from Nz. It's about 3°C where I am. Now. So no shirt off for me, just yet. Good to see you're fishing as you move around. A wise man once said, "the only way to catch a fish is to have a baited hook in, at all times." It works. The exception is flying fish. They catch themselves. Anyway thanks again for sharing. Take care.
Thanks for the comment Bryan. W.
I see you got a new dinghy.
Yes. She’s wonderful! We lost the last Peanut to the ocean when sailing back from Indonesia. W.
Great to see you both back.
Thank you. W.
what is the basis for that type of geology?
Welfare check ...we miss you guys !😢
We are both well. I’ll be uploading the next episode very soon. W.
So …..that….. is how the internet works!! Now I know why it is so slow some times. Im getting ready for the long trip from Netherlands to Australia. I’ve always enjoyed your preserving vids, but don’t have the knowledge or the patience, yet, other than to do the family tomato relish which comes from the John Edmonds cook book (NZ). But,…my boating neighbours guided me to a Slagerij in the North or NL, Slagerij Dantuma who can meat to order. So I have ordered 20 kg for the trip. The tins will be all in sealed plastic bags to keep moisture from them. They have a good range, but their Goulash is magic fast food. I’ve mixed it with TexMex chili beans and a drop of honey. The other thing I love, a taste I developed eating with Papuans as a kid is Bully Beef mashed into Rice, so I have a number of cans of Argentine Corned Beef aboard (can’t get Hamper corned beef here). I don’t have the disposition for chopping up fish, so have to stick with food where other people have done that. If I ever meet a croc, I’m going to hope it is a vegetarian one.
What a great service and such a good range. Thanks for your lovely, informative comment. W.
More magic moments....thanks guys. Sort of curious how most living things grow so well in the Kimberley, but has been awhile since we have seen what ever grows on Nutshell's hull having been meandering in paradise.. Is no way I'd slip into them waters for a gander...lol
We definitely don’t slip into the water! W.
I was there on the Shoalhaven RAN. Such a rookery of birds before the blast. We were not told where we were going or why we were there until just before it happened.
Hi Dave. That must have been surreal. Thanks for watching and commenting. W.
I must confess I haven’t really caught up with your vlogs since just after you sold the Narrowboat. But man are you two living your best lives still!
Thanks for your comment. We try to fill our days. There’s just so much to see and explore! W.
Amazing, Wakatobi beautiful island ❤

Thank you, Gary. W.
Good to see you still eating the bait Magnus.
G’day Magnus and Wendy, I’m so pleased you meet up with James, Halle and Isla from Salty Jocks. ⛵️⛵️ Fabulous!
It was lovely to get a chance to meet lovely new people. The Kimberley area can be very lonely. W.
So glad I don’t have to the anchor watch any more, you’re in sight cheers missed your updates.
Yup! Back in sight now. W.
Did you fart in front of my wife ? sorry mate didn't know it was her turn brussels farts humour
Glad to see you guys are back.
Thank you, Graham. W.
Hi Wendy and Magnus are you guys ok. Haven't seen any post from guys, hope all is ok.
Still curious to know why aboriginal people seem absent in the coastal areas despite the cave art you find. Yet further north the Indonesian islands you visited teem with people.
Made my Sunday. Video from the nutshell crew. 😀
Thank you. W.
Hello wendy and magnus, What wide open scenery. It reminds me of that song, Fly away with me. Thanks as always you TWO. Have watched you from the beginnand And love your videos. Thanks and look forward to you again.❤❤❤
