When is your next video coming out pls?
I have been distressing furniture for approximately 10 years, not many others inspire me but this is amazing, love your technique, a beautiful piece!!
Awesome! Thank you so much!
Your techniques are so great
Thank you so much!
I've ser better looking furniture out for the trash pick up.
lucky you!
thank you for this informative video! great job. I understand that this technique works well with the types of furniture that have frames etc. where the glaze stays after wiping, but what if I need to glase a simple painted stool that doesn't have those? Its very basic stool, just legs and the top, and I wonder what stays and where when I cover it with the glaze and wipe afterwards. I painted it in nice yellow, but wanted to add some used antique look with dark edges and some dark patina around the joints. But the issue is that using your technique the glaze at the edges, where I do want it to stay, will most probaly get wiped off. What do you think I shall do to make it look like a want? And would the whole thing work if I use watered down dark acrylic paint over the main layer of paint, also acrylic? thank you!
I work only with the chalk paint. i don't know if the acrylic is that durable. With flat surface I would do paint wash and pick it with the sponge or wet piece of cloth using dabbing technique.
Other question... how tricks must be the sawdust? Is it possible to be very explanatory please...thanks!!😊
Hi, that depends how rough you want the surface to be.
Hi.. I'm from Chile 🇨🇱... love your painting game... you enjoy that... How do you combine colors... how yu now which one goes first and which one goes later...?
Thank you so much 😀 This is not a course but a youtube free video. It meant to give you the ideas
I like the way you transformed the simple piece of furniture into an art piece.
Thank you so much!

Can you please tell me the name of the last thing you applied that gave the metallic look? Is it from Annie Sloane? I keep missing it when I hear it. Thanks.
It's a patina effect wax. I have added the subtitles. Thanks for watching!

Thank you! 😊
I’d like to ask u a question regarding how to clean these textured pieces. First off, I absolutely love textured pieces, but I do wonder how anyone cleans them or keeps them clean? I say this cos when furniture has a smooth finish it’s very easy to wipe them over & get any dust etc off the piece. But how do u clean a textured pieces such as this one pls? I’m thinking of adding a textured finish to some of my furniture, but I don’t want to create something that I can’t properly take care of; & from what I can see, having a textured finish would mean that dust n dirt would collect more on any textured surface cos it’s not smooth! Dust etc naturally collects in corners, around moldings even on smooth surfaces…so can you tell me what you do to clean your pieces and what products & cloths do you use pls? Thank you for your help here. Kind regards, Barbara
Hi, Barbara! Thank you! 😊 i normally sand the piece before sealing it to make the surface smooth enough. But you are right there is always be some texture left in crevices and corners. I don't find this king of painted furniture hard to look after. A rug soaked in warm water with detergent does the job perfectly. Thank you for watching!
Es una gran profesional pero hace cosas feísimas.
Thank you!!! Gracias!
Would you give us some more information on the patina wax. I'm so intrigued by it. I tried googling it without good results
Hi, Thank you for watching! i do not mention the name in the video as it is french company and you might not find it in other countries. I am using here the wax from Liberon le patiné or you can search for patina effect wax. i tried a few different before i found this one. Good luck in trying!
Looking forward to new videos. The patina wax, what color was it?
it's dark yellowish-brownish with a shimmer of dark gold, difficult to explain really. if you can't find patina wax, look for antique gold gilding wax.
So beautiful 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you! 😊

Wow it's beautiful 😊
Thanks a lot 😊
Absolutely beautiful- you are very talented & I’ve learned so much from you! Thank you for your videos. . . I also enjoy the music!!
Thank you so much! Your support means a lot to me.
can i do this with particle board/laminate ikea furniture?
Hi, thank you for watching. The chalk paint sticks to any surface, and once you've done your base cover you just play with other layers. If i am not sure I would sand it slightly to give the paint some rough surface to catch. Good luck!
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Absolutely Stunning!
Thank you so much!
I wish there was a “no music” option, but you do great work.
i know, i am still working on improving. Thanks for watching!
