  • Paint an old french furniture with chalk paint.
    In this video you will learn how to create a texture with a chalk paint wash, how to use decorative waxes to give your paint some depth.
    I am using Annie Sloan chalk paint: Versailles, Chateau Gray, Duck Egg Blue, Old Ochre and Old White.

    Bonjour de South Africa. Your work is sublime. I love the very elegant French pieces one see in the palaces, and gold leaf and all of that. I am enthralled by the way in which you make decorative moulds.

    The French piece is gorgeous! I have no idea how you chose the complimentary colors but they are perfect for the French country look. I’m glad you removed the animal detail at first that was smart. In Florida our furniture is usually beachy colors or neutral, it’s so interesting to watch your work which is totally different than what I’m use to. Always look forward to your videos.

    I love what you have done. I have French dresser with a boutique of flowers up top and details all over. I would like to do something like this but lighter or whiter. What do you suggest?

    • @mycolorfulfrance
      @mycolorfulfrance  Před rokem

      Great idea! it could be Annie Sloan chalk paint Old Ochre, Paris Grey and Old white. I am also thinking of painting a dressing table and might be using Coco as a base color following with old ochre and old white; that will make it lighter but also warmer than the combination I've mentioned above. Let me know if you tried. Thank you for your comment.

      thank you for a tip. it's a 'parisian cafe' album and i thought it matches the french piece but you're right it is a bit loud comparing to my voice. I'm afraid nothing i can't do on youtube to change. Will be more careful next time. 😊

      @@mycolorfulfrance Do not feel bad, u are learning, growing, making mistakes and u will receive good comments and mean comments so the key is to not take things personal but to use your brain, analyze and grow like a week...fast and strong :) I find that many viewers do not like music in the videos...me I just can understand why music...when the focus should be the content of the video...if the content is crap...no matter what music u play it won't help. Engage with the viewers, have a good time, show your amazing skills and along the way do NOT copy what others are doing...if many are putting music in their videos that does not mean it is the right thing. U gave me a really good idea in how to tackle a piece that i have sitting and waiting in a corner waiting to be painted...so thank you for sharing knowledge. I wish u will have a Christ-mas remembrance day full of blessings....and for next year to be blessed and happy. Girl you have talent, so show that and do not focus on the music.... talk, engage, explain, that will help the viewers to engage and live comments helping you with logarithms in UTUBE....

      I like the music. The French music fit the project.

      @@bonnysmith4908 the taste of music does nothing to do with the fact that it is too loud and when she talks it gets on the way...making the watching of the video painful...and yes one can mute but that also distorts the enjoyment of the video...Video content is the most important part rather than placing music
